Saving Cakewalk Projects to MP3

Boy, I hope there is help out there for me. I first bought the Music Maker program from cakewalk. The guy at the store said it would make mp3's. Well, it did--- FOR 30 DAYS! So, I went back to the store and the guy sold me Pyro Plus, as he said it would convert cakewalk files into MP3's.

I have been trying to convert files to MP3 format using Pyro Plus, but it does not seem to be able to convert cakewalk files to MP3. Can somebody please tell me if Pyro Plus will convert cakewalk programs into MP3"s? If so, how?

I have spend days trying to figure this out and am going off my rocker. Other than this one problem, I really like Music Creator and Pyro Plus. But if I am going to beat my Demo deadline I really, really, need to find out how to make this conversion.

Any prompt help would be greatly appreciated.

Chris

When you say "Cakewalk file" -- what format (what file extension) is this?
The process for making a CD containing MP3 files may be different from making
a regular audio CD (from WAV files). Look up "Making Data CDs" in the Pyro online help for more information.

It sounds as if you have created an audio project within PYRO and want to convert the entire project to MP3. I don't think it can do that. I think you need to convert the individual audio files within your project to MP3 format and then reassemble them into a new MP3 data project.

This may be no good to you - I don't know Pyro and was just browsing the Cakewalk forums. If you can export as WAV, you can then use a WAV to MP3 converter. Phoenix Media Software provide a free utililty to do this, called WaveNet - works fine for me.
