MOTU 828 Mk I?

Hi there -- I am looking for a new firewire interface but the budget will only stretch to $500 or less. I saw a MOTU 828 Mk 1 advertised for $350. Would this be a good deal for use with Sonar 4? My usage is for a home studio where it is rare that I record more than two or three tracks at a time. That being said, I'd like the option of more tracks. Quality of the sound is more important for me though.

I had heard the MOTU 828 Mk1 has some power supply problems is that true?

Also what are the main differences between the Mk1 and the MK2?
