Sonar5 PE (Not Your Usual Pop & Click Issue)

Some background: Sonar 4PE did just fine - no problems. I upgraded to S5PE and I have all the latest patches and drivers. On to the probelm.

Working with a new song, I played keys, bass, added drums via audio loops......all was well. When I came back to the song several weeks later to add acoustic guitar via miked inputs, annoying artifacts crept their way on to the track.

I tried moving the track from 4 to 16 and re-recording. No luck. The "scratch" noise appeared in the same places as it did in the original.

When I opened a new project and just recorded the acoustic guitar, it did just fine. So, I opened a new project, imported the necessary tracks from the old project into it......re-recorded acoustic guitar and here come the glitches again!! Same places too.

I have defragged, optimized.......frankly, I'm at a loss. I tried fiddling around with the latency buffers. No luck there, either.

I run a dual AMD processor PC with a Delta 1010. Like I said, no problems with Sonar 4 PE in this regard.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
