The Bagpipes can be found at sf2midi. com. Just type in bagpipe layers and find the one that says: Emu Bagpipe Layer.sf2.

Do you have a better link? Unable to find it.

Another thread of the undead variety. We need silver bullets - now.

Using Sonar Professional 21.8, build 32 on Windows 10 Pro with the free VST2 plugin Kontakt 5.1 player, with Boulder Sounds "Celtic Uilleann Pipes" sample set loaded . . . .

MIDI source track "Cailín Deas Crúite Na Mbó.mid" is routed to Kontakt, but Kontakt produces no sound output to "Master Audio Bus A" or to the PC sound card.

With Sonar 5 in x32 mode, the Kontakt player did manage to play just one note of the instrument, but with Sonar 2015  x64, no notes are played by the Kontakt VST at all. - The free Kontakt player also says "DEMO" on its main property page. - Could that be the reason why the VST is not working in my Sonar ?

Cakewalk Dimension Pro does load and plays the samples properly using an sfz file, but the instruments do not sound right:
"Bagpipes.sfx"
<region> sample=cB.wav key=c5 lokey=b5
<region> sample=cC.wav key=d5 lokey=c3
<region> sample=cD.wav key=d#5 lokey=d5
<region> sample=cE.wav key=f5 lokey=e3
<region> sample=cF.wav key=g5 lokey=a4
<region> sample=cHA.wav key=a#5 lokey=a5
<region> sample=cHG.wav key=g#5 lokey=g5
<region> sample=cLA.wav key=a#4 lokey=a4
<region> sample=cLG.wav key=g#4 lokey=g4
<region> sample=D.wav key=d#6 lokey=e6
<region> sample=E.wav key=f6 lokey=e6
<region> sample=F.wav key=g6 lokey=f#6
<region> sample=HA.wav key=a#6 lokey=a6
<region> sample=HG.wav key=g#6 lokey=g6

Are there Cakewalk Dimension Pro *.SFZ or *.prog files available for the Boulder Sounds Celtic Instruments sample sets ?

PM please . . . Much appreciated

When Sonnivox had GVIs they had one that was great and lots of control with the modwheel.  I have an old EW library that had some.
One of the EW libraries still have pipes.

I've gotten some of these smaller libraries but the challenge is when you need to make it sound like a parade.

Actually, the Dimension Pro sound patch that i created from my own sound samples of Highland Pipes using the sfx file above sounds about the same as the Boulder Sounds sample set that i had purchased. - Unfortunately, the Kontakt VST2 plugin for the Boulder Sounds sample set that i purchased has stopped working in Sonar Pro 2015, and it never worked at all in my Sonar5, Sonar4, or Sonar3. - :(

i guess that i will need to migrate the purchased WAV samples to Dimension Pro. - That will take some additional time.
