.omf file FUBAR - HELP PLEASE!
I am working (trying to anyway) on the music and audio production for a movie using Sonar 5.2 Pro.
The film has been edited using Final Cut Pro on a Mac workstation. The sound source I have been given was saved as a .omf file, and I was also given an mpg file so I could watch the video while I work on the audio and music.
Using Sonar I was able to open the .OMF and it appeared to work great, with all the right tracks and clips, however it DOES NOT PLAY BACK AT THE RIGHT SPEED!!! It sounds sloooowwww. In fact it plays back slow. I stopwatched it at about approximately 10% slow. A random guess is that the audio (which was most likely 48k in the source) is being clocked? (whatever?) as 44k. WHen I imported the corresponding .mpeg (I did it without the audio - to view the video, it was all in sync too, but its all playing back SLOOOWWWW.
What I had to do was to import the mpeg into a new project (without using the .omf file at all) and I did import the audio, but ITS ALL ON ONE FREAKIN TRACK IN ONE CLIP. In this case it all plays back at the right speed, but I can't really work with the sound track at all when its all on one track in one clip (DUH).
So it looks like I am F#(ed until I figure this out.
HELLP MR WIZZARD!
