FA-66 + Sonar 6.2 + no audio

Ever since I installed the update to 6.2, all of a sudden I have no audio coming out of my FA-66 using sonar. Also, when I open the Sonar audio and midi demo2 sample, I get a "Unable to open audio playback device. Device may not support the current project's audio format or may be in use" Some samples will open but will not play audio or midi.

Also, How can I get ASIO for the FA-66. Right now I can only use WDM.

Thanks,

Balbs

what I believe is that the samplerates at the fa-66 dont match to sonars settings.. so..
remember to switch the fa-66 manualy at the device itself to the samplerate that you select in sonars-audio-options.
whenever you change a setting within sonar or at the fa-66 itself... close sonar, power down the fa-66!!, turn the fa-66 back on, wait 5 sec. then start sonar.
there shouldnt be a problem to switch to asio.. what is it doing ? what not ?

Thanks for the response. That fixed it. I got audio back :D

The Asio panel keeps wanting to go to the audigy card I also have installed. Should I just take that card out and exclusively use the FA-66? The FA-66 is greyed out and seems not an option for asio.

    cool..
when you are in the options-audio dialog.. look for the "drivers"-tab..
there you only select the edirol stuff !!
    that will fix the problem

oh, and yes.. use the fa exclusively.. (you can just take the audigy out and throw it...)

    Doh...I feel like an idiot.

"The FA-66 is greyed out and seems not an option for asio."

I didn't think to un-check the audigy card from the asio input selection...until then the FA-66 was no longer greyed out and so I now have asio on it.

Frank, thanks for the help! I think I'm good....for now :)

I still consider myself a newby so take this for what it's worth. I like it. It's very clean and quiet. I haven't pushed it much but it's noticably better than the audigy I have (soon had) :)

The pre-amps in my old ua25 were great, so i imagine the fa66 is the same or better...
    thanx,

The last time I got into heavy recording (relatively speaking) was 10 years ago with a turtle beach sound card which at that time I thought was pretty clean. Since then I played around with the audigy but the FA-66 seems the best.
