The point would be to route the aftertouch controller to any modulation destinantion you like in your vst instrument. It depends what vsts you have. You just have to know which controller number is assigned for the aftertouch. There will hardly any vst instruments use aftertouch in its presets.

Garritan Stradavari(sp?0 uses aftertouch to control vibrato rate (frequency) while mod wheel controls Amount of vibrato.

I'm not in front of sonar or any sequencer right now and I don't know how hypersonic 2 works. Maybe you should look into hypersonics manual. Normally your keyboard sends aftertouch if you applied it.
The midimonitor from sonar, which is on the windows taskbar should indicate an incoming midi message when you press your keys further down (aftertouch). If this is the case it means that you have incoming aftertouch signal to sonar. If there is nothing you could check under the midi options from sonar if incoming aftertouch signals are disabled. Aftertouch has a fixed midi cc number (don't remember which one). In Hypersonic you have to look somewhere how to control a parameter with a midi controller. So, instead of using a modulation wheel, you should be able to select aftertouch. However, details are in hypersonics manual.

Yep it works great even with Hypersonic.... The only thing i had to do is to put on the aftertouch in Sonar options. And there i go... i don't even have to setup stuff in the plugs... it works right away...
Why is this option (aftertouch) not automaticaly on in Sonar.. i mean the sounds come more alive in vst plugins with this option on !
