Sonar 6 web trial. Arggg!!

Complete audio recording newbie. Figure I'd try the Sonar 6 web trial and see if it is something I can use, with intent to purchase if I can manage this beast.

From Tutorial 1, Preparing for Playback:

"Use the Insert-Soft Synths command and click Cakewalk TTS-1 on the popup menu."

Can't find it and after a bit of frustration I go back to the web page and find the following:

The following plug-ins are not included:
Cakewalk TTS-1

I guess nobody figured that the people downloading the trial would want to try the tutorial.

    Hi Danny-

    Welcome to the forum!

Re your issue: Ouch and Aargh! Several of us have said the Tutorials need to be updated (and kudos to you for starting with them -- or at least trying to...), but I didn't realize the demo came with a built-in dead end!

What if anything is listed if you go to Insert | Soft Synths? If there's nothing there, you can no doubt find a free decent GM (General MIDI) soft synth to download and use instead of the TTS-1. I don't have a ready recommendation, but probably someone will chime in with one.

    Good luck!

    -Susan
