Sonar 6 training DVDs?
I recently switched to Sonar 6 and am slowly going through the manual. That part I hate.I want to speed up my progress and saw on e-bay a listing for a DVD training course by digital doctor. Does anyone here have it and Is it worth buying. Are there maybe other video training courses available that might be better?

ORIGINAL: dog pounder What are "the stickies"? Above the brown border in this forum, there are topics for sonar related stuff and they are the stickies we speak of. Hey dog, i didnt know what they were called either until about 4 months ago. CJ

Hi The digital doctor vids are pretty good especially if you have a 2 monitor setup so you can run Sonar on one and D.D. on the other to pause it whilst you try things out. it also has some files on the disc for you to follow the examples, also its not expensive, so if your new to all this its worth a go. He has some samples on his site that will give you an idea of how he approaches things. There's nothing like seeing someone clicking around to help you get a feel for how to run Sonar. The videos created by Cakewalk that CJ is talking about, are really good. Also, I really like the way that Scott Garrigus' Sonar Power books are written. They are great if you like books.

actually i like the SONAR Power book more than the DMD tutorials... i mean nothing in there (in DMD) was new to me , or i was not going to find out by clicking everywhere and messing with everysetting... but the book actually told me how to make stuff i NEED to enhance my workflow...

Scott: Since you visit here regularly, i thought i'd ask an OT question. Are you going to add a chapter on the Sonar 6.2 upgrade, like you did with the last chapters of Sonar 6 power? That would be really cool. I own all the Power books, BTW. still the single best Sonar related reference out there IMO.

Hi Roxy -- Thanks! Yes, there's a lot to learn, but you'll get there. I hope you enjoy the book. Hi Tony and Mike -- Thanks for reading my books! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying them. There won't be another chapter because I'm already working on a number of other projects. Scott -- Scott R.
