Grants Tele...ready for road trip..

soon as he confirms the case to ship and address.
I'll watch neck relief while I wait.
Thought ya'll may like to see it.
Comments about how it plays and sounds...I'll leave
that to Grant.
In case you noticed, no switch- vol, tone, blender.

Now I can breath again lol.
Thanks to all that followed this project and giving
me support. It really is very much appreciated.

Mike

Ooh, that came out looking like one fabulously serious zebrafied weapon!

That beautiful top will hypnotize all who gaze at it!

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

    Thank you guys.
It's kind of hard to tell by the photo but
the blender knob is gold with a black top.

Best I can tell the photos look very close to the real thing.
That zebra wood is some great stuff. It changes with viewing
angles and does have those light kinda silver stripes that move around.
Tuff stuff to work but sure worth it.

Hard to tell you what handling tonewood is like. Really cool though...ya
sand, drill and tap on it and you can hear it. It does talk to you.

That piece of ebony on the back was just to tie-in with the ebony control plate...balance I guess.

Sure glad you guys like it. And drool is cool....I wiped some up a few times!

Why six Bapu?  LOL really closer to 11...I busted a few making the nut...normal for me...didn't happen with the bass though...lol

LOL...I noticed the real small white dots...it's powder from the jeweler polishing rag.
That's what I use on the hardware....not the frets. Guess I need a little vacuum cleaner-
    like for computers maybe? lol.

I've said it before, i'll say it again.
That might be the most beautiful Tele I've ever seen, even if it's not Fender...

Any chance you could PM me the approximate cost for something like that?  I had to promise my wife I wouldn't make any big purchases in 2011, but i'm already getting ready for the next year. lol

Thank you Phil, Slug and Bill.

Slug I can PM you but there is no reason as I can tell you the same thing
here and I must so nobody is wondering....I don't build guitars for profit.
I've stated it before that it wouldn't be right to do that on this forum.
I can tell you that using the finest woods and hardware that I'm familiar with
will easily put the cost over a thousand just for that.

I committed myself to two more builds which will take at least 6 months and
I can't see anything past that right now.
I'm sure honored by the compliments and request to build...didn't really expect
that when I started building...thank you Slug and everybody very much for that.
