I have v3 here and it's a very cool synth to own. There are a lot of sounds, some of which leave something to be desired for me (mostly the acoustic sounds), but just tons of flexibility for routing and whatnot. There was a certain sound I was looking to recreate from a song my band did years ago and I couldn't get it with either SampleTank XL or Sonik Synth2 (both of which I like for their merits as well). I found something in Wusik tat is REALLY close to the original Poly-800mk2 sound I was looking for.

I just can't justify the upgrade to v4, as it doesn't seem to offer a lot of things 3 didn't for my purposes.

FYI - Blades, you can upgrade for only $19.95. You miss some of the new libraries but still...

ggg

Here are some of the v3 -> v4.0 features: (many more as he has released v4.2.2)

Stereo Layer support. WusikSND files updated to handle stereo sound.
ability to disable Wavesequencing, turning a W1/W2 layer into a regular layer. Saves CPU usage. On the WSeq editor, for the speed, select HZ and set Speed to Zero. It will show "off".
128 Voices per Layer. Previous versions were 16. Old presets will still retain the number of voices per layer, no changes there. 128 voices are specially used with Piano sounds, or with long release pads. Just mind about extra CPU usage.
New .wIni file for storing registry information. No longer uses the Windows Registry Database.
New ModMatrix Summing Option: Max (will get the higher value when summing one or more sources to the same destination)
New ModMatrix Summing Option: Min (save as above, but the lower value will be used)
New ModMatrix Summing Option: Boolean>0 (value is only used when the input is higher than zero, otherwise zero is output)
New ModMatrix Summing Option: Bool>0Max (same as above, but instead of a zero output, a max (100%) output is used)
New ModMatrix Destination: Stereo Polyphonic Panning (only works with stereo layers) Useful for using with Piano sounds, to get a fake stereo effect out of original stereo WusikSND files.
HQ Pianos updated. All presets now support up to 128 notes. Low CPU usage 16 note presets were also created. The Fake-Stereo now uses only one layer. We also added a NewAge preset with longer release and extra reverber.
New Fade-Out and Fade-In when changing presets via the File-Browser, < > buttons and also when changing a scene with Forte (and similar hosts). This will remove any click and pops during the start and end of any preset-loading.

It was all so different, before everything changed...

Think I'll pass, even though it's cheap. I am mainly interested in real instruments (which I don't have yet, like basses, all kind of horns, etc.), so... I expected a lot from all the new synths that came with S7 PE but I never use them, really... They just don't fit my style, I guess. Hardly ever opened them. And since I don't like editing sounds (I just like making music), I think I'll pass.

Sonar 8.5 PE, Edirol FA-66, Behringer C-1. All instruments in my songs are VSTi's.

A 4gig piano, awsome drum and bass libraries from 3rd parties are included at gb price. Just a thought...

(No, I don't work for them... Yes, this is self serving as I would like the additional sounds that will be included if it goes over 300. 260+ now)

They way I look at it, you can never have enough sounds. Heck, even if I only use 1 sound a year it will still be worth 60 bucks.

I'm in. Just got the download email. Holy cow it's huge! What are you guys using for downloading? Are you doing it manually or using some sort of download manager?

Hope we hit the 300 mark!

Just finished downloading 4.41 GB. I used a download manager called FlashGet. It worked like a charm. Not too intuitive though. Found that if I go to the download webpage, right click on each download and choose "Copy Link Location" FlashGet would automatically open up the download dialog box. Didn't work on a few though.

Hopefully I'll have time to load it this weekend...haven't even heard it yet!

I work from home so I just right-clicked-save-as'd the whole lot of 'em, two by two.

Seemed to go pretty quick.

There's a lot there to dig into and more coming, hopefully... go 300!!!

I got into this one after reading what all the happy users were saying about Wusikstation, and I'm glad I did. It's a winner, and includes a lot of useful tools. The service is amazing, and there are some great sounds here.

Yes, great product, great deal and many extras.

Plus, I like supporting companies that listen to their users. Cakewalk has been (and will hopefully continue to be) like this. All the more with Wusik.

Only 34 more to go!

Just to add to the deal. He is including his VST manager that allows you to put all your patches, no matter what synth, into groups/categories (bass, voice, pads...) choose them and the manager will load the correct synth.

Wusik VM... check it out!
