Has anyone seen or heard from Billy A (BA-Midi)?

Hi all,

This is not directly a Sonar question, but a very important question about a huge contributor to the Sonar forums and Cakewalk overall. Has anyone heard from Billy?

He hasnt posted since May 13th and both his work and cel aren't responding. Im not sure if you are all aware, but he was having medical issues and am trying to find out if my good friend is okay. If you can please PM me or if anyone knows anything that would be great.

Best Reguards,

ive learned alot from billy, hes patient and a gentlemen.
i think he got sick of being accused of telling it like it is with his issues in sonar and haivng people tell him "its your system"
billy hates that line "it your system"

    Hi pal,

He was having brain surgery and it was very serious.. I have concerns because we use to talk often, both phone lines are cut off and he's not posting. I really hope he is okay. Anyone know him in person or live in NYC?

I really hope he is okay. I know he was having some serious health problems, but he does take a break from time to time. Phones not working is concerning though.

    My thoughts are with him.

I hope yer right! The thing is, Billy and I kept in good contact up until his surgery. He would talk about taking breaks. The thing that concerns me is he we would still always talk on his downtime either phone or text.. Both his work line is gone and his personal cel phone no longer working. Bitflipper have you heard from him or know anything?

    Scott,
What ever the outcome of this quesion I want to thank you for bringing it up.

I had no idea that Billy wasn't in great health.

I've always held him in the highest esteem and it saddens me to think he hasn't been here for reasons such as has been suggested.

I'll be keeping him and his family in my thoughts.

    best regards,
    mike

Same person.  He spoke about being a member there on multiple occasions.

Hope all is well w/ him.  Really liked his contributions to the forum as he was very unbiased and would tell it like it is, be it good or bad.

Scott, was Billy living in or around New York City? As per post #12 we see a certain "William Arnell died on June 3, 20012 in New York City". Have you talked to BaMidi after that date? The area code for the funeral home is 212, was that Billy's?

    Billy lives in NY, yes.
212 is pretty common here. And there are quite a few fellows named Billy Arnell... I'm just crossing my fingers.

Is Billy Jewish? The link above is to a Jewish chapel.

Anyone (Scott) who has info about this please keep us posted.  I'm sure many on the forum thought very highly of Billy (as do i) and considered him a real friend.

If this is true however I'm gonna do what he always admonished me to do...make some music.  It couldn't hurt.  Rock on Billy, ol pal.  Rock on.
