Beagle Jimbo 88 Bub You know, what Jimbo88 said about people from Chicago being rude ... that's one of the first things I noticed when I moved to Iowa. That whole 'mid-western' hospitality thing is a myth. Maybe it was different a generation or two ago, but people my age and younger are horrible out here. I was born in PA and lived in NJ all my life up till I moved here 11 years ago. I've never been stabbed in the back, lied to, and all around generally screwed like I have been since I moved to Iowa. Not saying everyone is bad, but in my day to day dealings with people, neighbors, people at work, it's not been a pleasant experience. My wife and I are actually considering moving out of state and she's lived here all her life. Hey Bub, I think you might be missing the point. Stabbed in the back, lied too, that's a whole different thing. People from Chicago are not rude. CJ does not do those things and I would not call that a Chicago thing. In fact quit the opposite. A guy like CJ might be quick with a line, but if he flowered every response to appear "nice", he would spend all day typing. That is not really being rude. And in general, those are the type of guys who are 1st to change your tire when you have a flat. So when you post a problem and you have a soundblaster sound card, and there are 8000 posts pointing out the problems with soundblaster cards, yea.. he is going to tell you to do a search and not be wasting everone's time. And next time people will do searches. life gets better for everyone. And the best response when something like that happens... "ohh yea, Well I've been told I suck by way more important people than you, buddy!!" And if you are looking for a great place to live, come to Chicago. If you live on my block, probably the 1st time you will meet everyone is when they come over to help shovel your drive way with you after a blizzard. I disagree. I help as many people as CJ does. maybe more. my post count is higher than his if that's any indication (and yes, I spend time in the CH, but the majority of my posts are helpful responses to people). most of the time my replies are "nice" and maybe even "flowery" to your definition. so I still contend that being "rude" or even just replying in a "curt" way is not necessary, but it's a choice. I've said it for ages Beag Add to that you have the common decency to read the whole thread before jumping in, apologise if you get something wrong (rare, I'll grant you!) and are often humble enough to try and find someone who has an answer to a specific question (you've sought me out before now for details about my TonePort and HS7). 99% of everyone who visits these forums know who the good guys are, and who are the posers and the pillocks. I'm afraid it's a classic case of Emperor's New Clothes syndrome, and like I said before in this thread, I just don't understand why people behave in this way.

timidi LOL... Here in Florida, The NY/NJ folk are just beyond rude and obnoxious. I'm really amazed by your statement about the Iowans. Too bad. Must be the internet. Tim: As a NYer, I realize that living here makes one harder than you should have to be. However, NYers are some of the best people in the world. Bad apples are everywhere. However: I happen to be one of the most superest people on these forums, so there goes your theory!

Bub Thanks MM. Anyway, you can tell after getting attacked again last night I'm done. The people who hang out up there are the dregs of society in my opinion and I want no part of it anymore. Even the song forums have sucked lately. Talk to you all later. Just to let you know, there is a DLL hack thread upstairs 3 pages of nice positive stuff and this IDIOT comes on with a jackass remark I call him on and we get into a contest.. its not worth it with these ARSE WHOLES ...
Green Acres is the place to be I dont twitter, facebook, snapchat, instagram, linkedin, tumble, pinterest, flick, blah blah, lets have an old fashioned conversation!
