Having trouble loading z3ta+ patches in all banks but 0 -- Sonar 8.1 Producer
I don't have a problem with most of the soft synths that came with Sonar 8 Producer but I can't seem to select any of the z3ta+ patches in any bank but 0. And then sometimes I have a problem with that. I can audition patches in all z3ta+ banks but can only use the ones in bank 0.
I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit with sp1 if that makes any difference.
Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for the links Bob. Seems like quite a few folks had the same problem. I read through all of the links and tried the recommended work-arounds but still can't load any patches other than from bank A. Maybe an upgrade to X3 would solve the problem.

Wait - you tried loading the DXi version of it? I thought I had seen where multiple folks had reported that working for them.

Wait - you tried loading the DXi version of it?
I don't see DXi anywhere. I tried all possible combinations, read through the help documentation, tried more experiments and still no joy. I almost gave up but then the tip to translate the VST plugin properties and changing the bank select method from normal to controller 0 seemed to work. Kind of wierd set of steps required to use Z3TA+ but I can live with it. Thanks for your help.

I have Sonar X3e Producer Edition installed, and the behavior here works the same as in earlier versions of Sonar, in that this issue is still an issue with the VSTi version of the synth.
I don't happen to have the DXI version installed, so I cannot try things out there.
I just wanted to let you know that I was unable to use the midi bank and patch select buttons on the midi track, to get it to actually properly switch the bank. I even tried the midi channel 1 tip in one of the earlier posts.
I DID, however, have no problem with changing bank and preset in the UI for Z3ta+, after opening it in the synth rack. That worked just fine.
So, if you are just loading a single sound into a given instance of Z3ta+ you can get it properly loaded by just changing bank and preset that way.
