Very nice indeed Kenny. You have some lovely sounds in this - that choir-ish pad and the strings, and the sustained guitar tone is great, would have liked more of that. I take it this will develop into a much longer suite? I was about to say how strange the jazz guitar part was, till I realized SC had jumped straight to another track..I hate when it does that.

Certainly different from you Kenny. Enjoyed that nylon guitar there too. There was one tiny part just at the end where the choir/pad was inconsistent with the rest, it stopped completely and then restarted and it felt a little weird, but it was small and at the end.

Kenny, I thought this was a pretty cleaver piece for you to attack. One thing for me, right off, is the choir is way to loud and hides the instrumentation that is playing along with it. I would bring that choir down until you can hear everything else going along with the choir clearly and distinctly. Everyone else has covered anything else I would have to say, but keep working on this. It should be really interesting and exciting when you get it finished. Will keep my eye open for newer versions as you go. Peace and Blessings, John

Hi James , thanks for giving this a listen thank you for the kind words …..I did my best to present my guitar playing in an interesting setting as of now, this is a work in progress and I do hope to develop this into a much longer suite … yeah , that whole other track jumping in on SC is not something I'm cool with Kenny

Hi Wookiee , Yes I probably could of worded this a little better …..as in the style of a Rock Opera ... I'm looking forward to working on developing my music in this sort of vein or genre ... this type of thing resonates with where I'm at , or more accurately , where I would like to be at…. thanks for giving this a listen Kenny

Hi Robby , I know exactly where you are talking about w the choir…..I feel the same way as you do I'm trying to get back in the saddle over here ….I've been MIA for so long …I decided to let it slide for now ... I really enjoyed playing my Bass on this and all the various guitars ….I took out just about everything I didn't play chances are that , it's gonna be back to the drawing board w this tune …. thanks for the listen Kenny

Hi John , thank you for your honesty I appreciate it .. yeah , doing this sort of thing is tough ….I'm creating my own sounds as I work this thing ... there seems to be lots of room for error , but hey thats OK ….that's how I seem to learn …. yeah , I'm not giving up on this …after a little time to refresh and recharge I'm gonna remix and repost a newer version .. thanks Kenny

loving this Kenny - I like the mix of classical and some of the more bluesy guitar that you use.

I hear you. I traveled on business last week and came home feeling a little off, Monday went to the doc and was positive for the flu AND pneumonia... Then I thought I could do some mixing and went in the studio (dead sound card.) Got a new sound card, and the PC tested positive for some nasties which I could not fix :-( I should be getting it back tomorrow and hopefully next week can get back in the saddle again. It's hard for us to do what we do because it takes time, and sometimes "Ship Happens" as Lance Etto said. The fretless needs to go in the shop too :-) We still manage to make a joyful noise! Keep it up.

Well done piece. Sounds like an intro to an album or to a long, journey of a song. Love how it builds and then stops for that quiet clean guitar part than back to the original choir sound...but damn I wanted another minute of it, maybe some more electric guitars, wailing and peaking...ha ha. Pleasant, quality chord structure..it kept my interest and made me want to hear more. Nicely done.

yes, this is really nice. A good mash up - it starts orch and then comes in the guitar, but it works. Yes, the mix could be better, but since you ain't finished w/ it that shouldn't be had. Drums up should help w/ the flow. But very sophisticated and well done piece. @

Hi Guys , I pulled my first song version off sound cloud and replaced it with a new song file / mix …. I felt the first mix was way too loud for the genre and very unbalanced , some of the instruments needed to come up , others needed to come down … you know all the typical stuff …. I made a lot of small changes along the way and took a few suggestions from the feedback I have gotten here (addmitedly, there is still much I still need to do to get this tune in the best shape possible …) writing and playing music along these type of lines is pretty much me flying by the seat of my fretboard a few folks have mentioned here that it could be a longer song ….or they wanted to hear more I added a second section to the song .. in truth this was the first section I had when I started working on this music… I've been working on that section a bit in my free time building up some of the guitar and bass parts some are keepers some are placeholders once I redo the last few phrases in the choir of Heaven (that last chord sux pretty bad ) I can decide which section comes first …. ……...Heaven Welcomes You Home…. https://soundcloud.com/gu...en-welcomes-you-home-w thank you for your patience I hope you enjoy Kenny

Interesting, just listened to the latest. It feels like an experiment at this point. There are things I could point to, but I'll defer and look forward to this new self exploration. My biggest input would be that it needs to flow better? It feels like pieces from different songs, rather than a song with transitions.
