I hear ya Bub. I've had that happen my whole life actually. Sad isn't it? The good thing I can say is, I'm glad I was able to help a few guys. I'm glad I had the money and it didn't bother me or even make me cringe when I always paid for stuff. Even if I became "used" so to speak, it was ok...I had the best of intentions and hopefully made someone have a good day, ya know?

Now here's a good one for ya man. Imagine your friend and my friend combined....and one day, your house gets broken into. You find out 2 years later...it was that friend you had called "a brother" that called your mom "mom", your dad "dad". That one hurt me so bad...I was too upset to even do anything about it personally. I just let the law do its thing...which they did nothing. So I can sooo relate with lots of this stuff.

I'll tell ya though...regardless of what's happened in my life or how I've been treated by people I've been good to, I sincerely have no regrets of any kind. I can see the signs now and stop things before they start, but I have no regrets on being a doormat even though at times, even with big shoulders that stuff sure did hurt. Don't change though man if you can help it. At least you can sleep good at night knowing you made a difference in the world of another....even if it was one-sided.
