I guess I could give that a go, at the moment I'm working on location a lot though (meaning just my laptop).
Does anyone know if it's possible to have a completely empty PC as default?

No. However you can remove everything except the QuadCurve, and make it your default.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

This is exactly the way I have mine set up. QC EQ is the only module.
that's my default. I also have a slew of Pro Channel presets I can use at will if I choose to go to a more elaborate Pro Channel set up. I find this to be the most efficient way to set up my Pro Channel. but we each work differently, this is merely my way.
