I don't think the power state of the target EQ matters, but the source EQ does need to be powered up.


Yeah, I see that now. I was testing too fast. Don't use the Console view for much.

As long as they didn't ask you to transfer the EQ settings from one track to another......
 
I don't know how people manage to mix without using it personally.

Guess i should of had a better description - sorry.  As Scook describes, it what I meant.  Same thing for effects bin copy/duplicate.  
 
Glad you got it solved!

A rack of noisemakers is not a definitive substitute for creativity. (though it does seem to help)

I'm with you, but I used to be a "never use console view" kind of guy. The D keyboard shortcut changed that. Track view = track, edit, arrange. Console view = mix. But of course, to each his own.
