Reading this thread (at least the OP) should be a requirement--sort of an entrance exam?--for any new users who haven't had any experience with DAW recording. I don't mean that in a demeaning way at all...I sincerely believe that a lot of new user's problems can be avoided by learning how to set up their systems for DAW usage...

Is there any chance that these two threads by Robert in Guitar Tracks could be given the sticky treatment too?
