Reading this thread (at least the OP) should be a requirement--sort of an entrance exam?--for any new users who haven't had any experience with DAW recording. I don't mean that in a demeaning way at all...I sincerely believe that a lot of new user's problems can be avoided by learning how to set up their systems for DAW usage...

Papa

Well, yes. I figured rather than you all endlessly bumping up the thread it should be a sticky. Hopefully this will cut down on redundant threads.

Cheers!

RE: How to set up Windows Volume Control to stop track bleed 2008/10/13 17:20:46 (permalink)

Hi Samara

Is there any chance that these two threads by Robert in Guitar Tracks could be given the sticky treatment too?

One is the identical 'Setting up your Soundcard' thread here: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.asp?m=1293121

The other is an excellent lucid and very helpful post about using GT3's bussing system: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.asp?m=1302521

I realise your main interest is HS but maybe you could pass this request onto those that deal with GT in particular?

Steve
