this is awesome!  you guys did a fantastic job on this!  daryl's voice is stellar on this song and is a perfect fit for it!

just for the record, I'll mention again that I'm not fond of the delayed stereo echo on his vocals as I hear a phase distortion at the crossovers, but if you guys like it like that, I know you can put my comments in the "round file"

besides that one little personal taste nit, I think this is fabulous!  excellent mix, excellent performances!  very well done!  BRAAAAAVO!

It needs a gopher vocal to make it funnier.

I'll ask the original composer where to send the royalties...

Very nice!  The vocal has a little bit of a Greg Lake vibe.  I enjoyed this.

I'll ask the original composer where to send the royalties...

Since we're not selling (or giving it away) I suspect the royalties are nil*. How much does a nil go for these days anyways?

*I have a query into the Harry Fox Agency asking if a not-for-sale, non-streaming-radio version of a cover requires a mechanical license. If it does, this will be licensed. If you could please let the composer know that, it would greatly appreciated.

Don't sweat it, note the smiley, I'm sure he doesn't give a rats.

Do you have the rights on 'silly' now too or is it OK for me to have a go?...

This is a FM fred, be as silly as you can or want to be JB, AFAIK no one owns the rights to silly (I believe Monty Pythons' rights expired in 2001)

And I've heard Ricky Gervais is attempting to acquire the rights to silly but Straummy is thwarting that at every turn.

Didn't need to look at the list to hear James on that acoustic, really nice intro. And Daryl's vocals, perfect. The synths painted a nice picture behind everything. And the angelic pad. That feels like James too. The tympanis are a nice touch too in lieu of a kit.

Really enjoyed this. Merry Christmas!

Frank - thank you sir.
We have become more sensible since the band line-up change - 1 of the monkeys left the band to get married, another has decided to go back to school to study accountancy, the other is trying to raise his post count.
