I caved!!!
I upgraded to Platinum. I got the sale email from Cakewalk this morning and went to Audio Deluxe to save an extra $20. $99.99 is a little more palatable considering how great X3 has been to me. And I mean stellar. However, with the coming of Windows 10 (already here) I didn't think it was wise to put all my trust into a DAW that is no longer being updated. Thoughts?

If you don't have the Concrete Limiter, I think that's on sale too...it's one of my most-used plug-ins.

There's still a bug with it which has been fixed internally, but this still has not been released yet (installer needs updating). Any news? I like concrete limiter, I do not like the bug. Thanks..

I haven't experienced the bug to which I think you're referring in several months. Wasn't it some interaction-with-host issue?

I too use Concrete Limiter quite a bit. I haven't run into any issues with it, either in Win 7 or 8.1. I've upgraded to Win 10, but haven't tried it there yet but I don't expect to have any problems. I've been tracking bass in Win 10 (several songs) and haven't had any problems (after Roland finally upgraded their drivers).

Hmmm. Concrete Limiter discounted! Tempting. Those of you who use it, what are its attributes and why would you reach for it ahead of other limiter plugs?

Audio Deluxe to save an extra $20? What is Audio Deluxe? I am on the verge of caving, too.

It's attributes are that it sounds pretty good, doesn't load your system much, and of course is right in the pro channel. Plus it has a nice "bass switch" which changes the way the bass is handled and increases the bass level. Sounds really good on some tracks. It was also very cheap when I got it, I like I paid $40ish. As for reaching for it ahead of other limiters, I don't know that I would any more. I just got IK's Stealth Limiter and I like it more. To me, it sounds a bit more transparent. It also has a nice feature, a unity gain button that lets you hear the effect of the limiting without changing the loudness so you can better dial in when it starts to harm the sound.
