jamesg1213 Good stuff JB. Keep well. As Fletch would say, 'don't let the b******* grind you down'. One thing though - 40lbs to lose?? From the photos I saw, that would look like a quarter of your body mass! It's all belly and moobs controlled by foundation garments. I'm 15st + presently... 12st something is the target weight for my height. I did the maths myself for the weight in lbs so I could well be way off...

JB please ignore my friend who suggested you get a Clarke bar. Get a Cadbury. Or my favorite brit food - have a nice combo of Faggots and Spotted Dick.
Some people call me Maurice SPLAT Pro lifetime, ADK 6 core 3.6Ghz with 32 GB RAM, SSD 1TB system drive, 3 3TB regular drives for samples, recordings and misc. Behringer X Touch, UAD Apollo Quad. 2 UAD2 Quads PCI (i think - inside the box whatever that is), Console 1. More guitars (40??) and synths (hard and soft) than talent. Zendrum!!!

Faggots are completely out, although there's nothing wrong with a little spotted dick.

mike_mccue So, no jokes? So I said to the good doctor, "Will I be able to play the drums if all goes well here?" He said "I don't see why not." To which I replied "That's brilliant work doc, I couldn't play them before!"

mike_mccue Thank you for that. Now I feel I have done my duty. ;-) Stay well... we need to meet up some day! Does this mean when I get to the UK next year and open the BIG TRUNK you'll be popping out? If so, don't forget a stack of DVDs. We'll have movie night every night.

Jon...I found that when I lost that 100lbs off my waistline..it all settled there, lol...I found that I did feel a little better about myself as well... Walking sure helped..I took a camera with me and took photos of all kinds of things when I did it as well...just take it easy on yourself...

Rbh Always remember: ... It just the internet. Sorry Rbh, but I think this is the worst excuse for intolerable behaviour ever dreamt up. Why should internet conversations and exchanges be exempt from the usual protocols and standards we apply to other forms of communication? And where do you draw the line? Nobody mitigates abject rudeness by saying "it was only a letter" or justifies bad manners by remarking that "it was just a telephone call". If everybody conducted themselves online as they would in person, cyberspace would be a much nicer place to be.

@Jonbouy - if you are serious about weight loss I can highly recommend the "17 day diet" - Google it, the book is on Amazon for about £6. I'm just started stage 3 which is day 36 (yeah I know 17 day diet, day 36??? ) and I've lost 2 stones in 34 days. More importantly where dieting is concerned it's not hard to follow, I've not been hungry and I feel far more healthy and full of energy than I have in a long time. Or at least since coming out of HM Forces and relaxing my fitness regime a little completely. What have you got to lose apart from £6? Oh and some weight of course.

Cool tip FBB! I'm looking for something like that. I'm not exactly overweight but need/want/wish to loose a pretty decent pub muscle/car tyre I have gained because of a rather unhealthy lifestyle Jonboy - I thought you were acting a bit weird the past week. Thanks for clearing it up and all the best to you!

That sounds pretty good, 2 stone isn't too far short off my target. I asked the Doctor if I should get some diet information from the internet. He just said make sure you fact hunt. Sounds like I need this book.

I'm very impressed with it. It's basically a high protein, low carb diet. So lots of fish, chicken, veg, and salad with yoghurt and egg. Say goodbye to potatoes, bread & beer for a while though. The author, Dr. something-or-other says his goal is to convince the reader to change their eating habits and lifestyle to an extent and I must say he has suceeded with me. Try it for a week and I wouldn't mind betting when you see the results you'll be convinced. I was - I lost just over 10lbs in my first week. Yes really, and as I said felt healthier, less tired, etc. etc. I should do this guys PR work for him.
