Am I to understand that if I do this update, Breverb might not work anymore? I have no idea if myversion is locked or unlocked, pais or unpaid. It just works. I wouldn't want to lose it.

Whatever Version you use, it will work with CbB, that's for sure
BTW: Overloud has special prices up to 24th of Dec. Breverb2 Full €89 / $99, TH3 full €139 / $ 149. HTH.

Cheers

It's unlikely, but there are a few people who have been experiencing distortion from it. Depending on what version of SONAR you might have had previously, you would have had the BREVERB ProChannel Module, and the VST version. If you're concerned, you can back up:

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\BREVERB SONAR\

and

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal\BREVERB 2_64.dll

I had the same "update failed" problem several reported. So I uninstalled Bandlab Assistant and reinstalled. When taking the Cakewalk update, it didn't give me options to specify directory/drive for the BREverb or Overloud VSTS - put them on the C drive. I've installed the Bandlab Cakewalk on D: and wanted to keep all my plugins there as well.

I haven't tried Breverb yet on this new update, which I downloaded last night. But TTS-1 won't work at all. I get hideously loud and nasty distortion.

I'll see about Breverb in a bit and let you know.

So far, my experience has been very different.  First CW said I was in 'Demo Mode', and to open Bandlab Assistant. Then the update was very slow.

Now TTS-1 has no sound at all. At least it doesn't crash the program, and the distortion is gone. But why no sound? It's a Cakewalk plugin and standard with CbB. It should work. I suspect Direct X  may have something to do with it. I recently updated that, and it briefly worked, but now it's broken again. I may see if I can uninstall the DX I have on my system and try to install an older version. Another thing I wonder about is that I only do the Security update on Windows 7, not the complete "quality" rollup. Which I have found lowers the quality of my system. I'm getting close to the point where I say,  just get everything working right, then keep it offline totally and stopping the monthly updates. (No I don't want anything to do with Windows 10).

In piano roll view, the C & D sharps now have very dark background shading, in contrast to the normal lighter shading on F, G, & A sharp.  Changing preferences doesn't help.

Before I saw this I backed up "Overloud Pre BandLab" the question is do you know if these updated versions will still work in in Splat 2017.10, or is it just locked to CbB? Thanks...

Re: I think we have a new update! 2018/12/19 12:11:12 (permalink)
I received this from Overloud in response to the unlocked version of Breverb cakewalk being overwritten with the CbB updates:

‘Hello Bart,

We are aware of this situation, but since we released that versions to help Cakewalk users that had to use different DAWs cause the closure of Cakewalk, and now Bandlab have acquired it, the new official update will works only inside Sonar.

Best regards,
Red’

So is there a way to keep both versions, as I do use Breverb in SOv4 occasionally?

CbB latest incarnation, Focusrite Scarlett (2nd generation), WIN10 1809 build,  , MCU pro , Yamaha Motif classic 6 , focusrite ASA one

The update will work just fine in SONAR Platinum as well.

Thanks Jon, I just got confirmation from Overloud Support that all's fine with Splat too... Looking forward to the CbB update

I had to do a system restore after I lost all sound in CbB, despite all settings being correct. Also, I experienced some strange behavior yesterday with soloing/unsoloing. I went back to before the latest update. Should have followed my rule of not updating just for the sake of updating. I did it to see if TTS-1 would work in the latest version. It didn't, and then things just went from bad to worse. Going back to earlier version solved all the problems except TTS-1, which continues not to work.
