I want to rotate the piano roll!

Hi!
Is this possible in Sonar or some other DAW? This is probably something that few others are interested in, but a vertical piano option would be great (for me). :)

It's not possible in Sonar, and I couldn't possibly comment on other DAWs

It wouldn't be of any benefit to me anyway, as when I'm doing any detailed Midi editing, I make sure the PRV is stretched out fully on my 2 monitors.

If the Piano Roll View was turned so the piano keys were at the bottom, you would be indicating note duration with a vertical scroll????

Sounds like someone REAAAALLLYY likes Guitar Hero or Rockband style note editing :)

I've often thought that a vertical scroll display might make it a lot easier when writing harmony parts.

The convention of displaying the timeline right to left makes me very comfortable when working.

But I've often thought that a vertical scroll would make it easier to "sit at the keyboard" and look at and think about all 88 keys the exact same way you encounter them when you sit at a real keyboard.

I think a button with a 90* rotation option is a excellent idea.

    best regards,
    mike

For reference, this has come up a few times in the past. Here's a link to one of the longer threads, starting with a screenshot from an app called Rondo that works this way:
