craigb Jonbouy drewfx1 Bub ... can you get away with knowingly providing false information as long as you provide the disclaimer that it's 'your opinion' ... after the fact? Just curious. This is the internet. Any opinion different than one's own is always "false information". Is that true?... (see what I did there?) I keep being reminded of a commercial (don't remember what insurance company it's for though - so bad for them, eh?). HERE is the relevant snippet. Funny, I was just talking about that very thing with Napoleon Bonaparte (yes the actual one!) on another forum the other day. He said Bonjour too which is how I figured out he was for real.

It is a scientific fact, that people will believe almost anything you say, provided, you precede whatever you want to say with the words, "It's a Scientific Fact". Trust me on this.

It's also a scientific fact (really) that people tend to not see things when they're told to pay attention to something else. Here's one example. And the original. There were some great ones from a show that I can't remember the name of where they'd have one girl great a customer then duck down and a completely different girl would finish helping and the customer wouldn't even notice! I'll have to find those...

Brilliant. That reinforced the idea that my brain is made from swiss cheese. It was a man on the poster, that's all I remember. I got distracted.

Jonbouy Bub ... can you get away with knowingly providing false information as long as you provide the disclaimer that it's 'your opinion' ... after the fact? Just curious. Define 'get away with'... Well, obviously something happened yesterday that prompted this post. If y'all go digging for it, you'll find it. But I accept the poster for what he is and didn't make a big deal out of it. I have to, what else am I going to do, follow him around the forum proving to him how wrong he is and disrupt the place? As tempting as that is, I just give up. Heh. It's just ... well ... it will never cease to amaze me how some people have black and white proof in front of them that they are wrong, and still be so ... well ... I don't even know what the right word is. I think I do, but it will get all *'d out, so why bother saying it. Let me put it this way, if I'm wrong, I got no problem fessing up to it, and I always thank the person for setting me straight. I don't say, 'My reality is all that's fact, actual facts don't matter, so piss off.'. I don't even know why I bother trying to be nice when the sentiment is not reciprocated. It just makes me out to be a fool. So much for trying to bury the hatchet in with him.

Jonbouy SteveStrummerUK Is it known as the McQ factor? It's known by several different names. I've seen it mostly referred to as the Dulcimer/Mungeon Curve. It's used extensively in the Appalachian Mountain Region by the locals for tuning authentic rustic string instruments.

I had him blocked for almost a year, I started feeling bad because he tried to talk to me a few times, so I unblocked him and started talking to him again, then the reasons I blocked him in the first place all came rushing back to me yesterday. LOL that would have been soo evil! Honest, it really was bothering me...whew, thanks for clarifying. I was sorry to even ask about it...but I just had to. :) Yeah sometimes Bub...it's better when ya just forget a person exists if you can help it. I know it's hard though...you probably did that with me at some point, but here we are. :) Then again, some of the coolest friendships come out of a battle and once you know the person, the things that may have contributed to the battle are a total joke and there is no tension anymore. I had a dude on a forum one time where we both lost it so bad, we couldn't make up our minds who was flying where. LOL! "I'll pay for your flight" "No, I'll pay for yours baystid" "yeah, well I'll pay for yours and mine...just meet somewhere ffs?!" Hahahaha! When we took a step back and evaluated what the heck we were fighting about and how silly it all was (other than him being one of those dudes that busts on your mom...and I had just lost mine which is what made me totally blow my cork) we shook our heads and laughed about it. I didn't at first because the mom thing really upset me at the time. But to this day, the dude is one of my best friends and every so often (he actually just mailed me 3 weeks ago about this) we make a mention of how sorry we both are about the past. It makes ya feel good when you can come out of something like that and literally have the guy over your house to have some fun and party a bit. I've been over there, he's been over here....we have a blast. Sometimes those dumb blow-outs can end up a blessing in disguise...other times, well, you know, it can just be plain ugly and really no one wants that. Who knows man, maybe this guy you're talking about will have a change of heart. If not, his loss, ya know? You know quite a lot of stuff you share with people here. Though I know some of your comments are due to frustration due to Sonar letting you down at times (which it has for me too and we make no bones about it) you share a lot of good stuff too. So hey, his loss man. :) -Danny
