I'll have to try Windows 10 again Later
Because I didn't like it at all. Reverted back to 7. It may have better performance, but it's a hot mess. Too much BS for me. Sonar seemed to work just fine. No issues there.

The only reasons not to go to 10 are (1) Hardware compatibility, (2) Software compatibility (3) Unable to cope with change.

I don't really like 10. The snoop factor is huge! They seem interested in stealing from us anything that we will willingly or unknowingly let them take. It really does offend me. But I'm still booted to it, mostly because my RME doesn't have DigiCheck or TotalMix for Ubuntu (at least for the UCX).
StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen. I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

The "Telemetry" that is sent is anonymous and does not contain any personal information. There has been a lot of press about the monitoring, but its been going on for a long time, not just with Windows 10 and not just Microsoft, Apple does a lot of that too. Check the EULA (End User License Agreement) on many software packages and it is in there too.

I think the specific idea of rolling back to previous windows version will protect your privacy is laughable (not targeting anybody with this comment btw). Win10 data collection can be disabed even upon install without issue leaving you in the same situation as previous windows versions.

This last sunday, I made the upgrade from win 7 to win 10 on my notebook, everything seemed to be fine but, although Line 6 had made available Win 10 drivers for the Guitar Port I use with this notebook, none of my softwares recognised the interface. Surprisingly, Groove and Windows Media player can see the interface and play songs through Guitar Port. I don't have a clue of how to solve this issue. I think I'll have to rollback to win 7....

I didn't know Line 6 had the Win 10 drivers.......I have the Toneport Gold DI and gave it up (as well as my beloved POD Farm Platinum 2) due to their lack of driver support on Win 8 (at the time).....good to know and will visit Line 6 again. Thanks Atsuko!! Regarding your issue, do what the good Doktor says :)...make sure your Line 6 Monkey Installer is also up to date. If the current drivers for Win 10 won't work, possibly try a previous/older version. You can also try plugging it in a different USB port (may/may not make a difference).

I tried everything I could, uninstalled/reinstalled several times!! It seems that the softs cannot see the interface or maybe it's in use by another application but which one? I looked for in the task manager but couldn't find any that could be the culprit...

I'll have to cope with the change at some point (our programs won't support Win 7 forever), but It does seem like pointless change, only for pointless change sake. I'll wait until I have the time to waste learning another program the will not benefit me at all. I also own a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta Sport turbo, but it's not diesel.

Atsuko Mesh, they also have Win 10 drivers for you Tone Port: http://line6.com/software/index.html
Thanks Ane!! I'll head on over there tonight and hope the drivers will work. :) (will also post back on my findings once I install) Not sure if this will make a difference in your troubleshooting, but do you see the Tone Port as the default device in your Playback Devices (Win 10 taskbar)? It's been awhile since I used Line 6 stuff, so I'll keep thinking on this and post back if something pops into my head. (sorry Clint, not meaning to hijack your thread)

Yes, the Guitar Port is the default device and it works very well with Groove (the new Windows player) and Windows Media. Maybe it's a clue, why windows recognizes and uses the interface but Sonar, RX3 & 4, XLN, EZDrummer, etc. cannot?

No problem. As I said...Window 10 seemed to work fine with everything I own. That was something I wanted to know. I'll eventually switch over, but I'm not a fan of all the BS and bloat that Win 10 has. I'm waiting for ADK to go through it and see what optimization needs to be done...if any. I'm just venting.

The drivers for the Tone Port and the Guitar Port are the same (my Windows is home premium)... Have you installed the drivers through Line 6 Monkey? And did you do it before or after upgrading to Win 10? I'm reading Line 6 forum and it seems that a lot of people are having issues with Win 10 drivers.

I used Line Monkey, after the win 10 upgrade, NOW, all I use the toneport for is a "dongle" for the VSTs, I have another audio interface, So In fairness I cannot attest to the operation of the unit, But, it shows up in device manager and all the Plugs it licenses work fine.

Ham N Egz I used Line Monkey, after the win 10 upgrade, NOW, all I use the toneport for is a "dongle" for the VSTs, I have another audio interface, So In fairness I cannot attest to the operation of the unit, But, it shows up in device manager and all the Plugs it licenses work fine.
I'll be using it for this as well as recording directly using the Toneport guitar amps/fx etc.....IF the drivers will work with Win 10.

fireberd The only reasons not to go to 10 are (1) Hardware compatibility, (2) Software compatibility (3) Unable to cope with change.
You left out the biggest reason: Privacy.

Can you see if your recording softwares detected the interface? My windows also detected it...

I don't have a Toneport, but my POD X3 connects OK to the Monkey. And my POD Farm 2 works OK in Sonar. Win 10 Pro.
