[IMPLEMENTED] - [Awaiting NI Fix] Sonar platinum kontakt 5 parse error
Can someone with sonar platinum try to load a project with kontakt 5 and see if you get "parse error"? Never had this error message in X3 Tried to load different x3 projects that has kontakt instruments and I got many "parse error" messages, i had to click many times "ok" to get thru and the song seems to play normal, meaning I can hear the kontakt instrument/sounds...

Ideas
In Sonar a VST reset followed by a rescan.
Try uninstalling/reinstlling Kontakt.
Run NI service centre

If you moved the Kontakt files around this could be the issue.
Didnt touch any kontakt files at all Did a vst reset and rescan, issue remains Ihave the latest kontakt update since befor in x3 too and I really dont have the time to reinstall kontakt5, its like 4dvd discs, going to take half the night here... Man i knew i should wait with juming so fast on new sonar :(... I want to make music, not put time on headaches...

This is scary.... I depend on KONTAKT for almost all of my VSTi's. I too got the invite to jump in early... paid and haven't installed yet.....
Does X3e still work after the install of SONAR Platinum?

This issue was noticed during our beta test process and reported to Native instruments who were able to reproduce it.
I will try and find out what the status of the issue is. I believe it only affected international versions of some NI plugs because we had plenty of testers running it without any problem on English OS's

This is scary.... I depend on KONTAKT for almost all of my VSTi's. I too got the invite to jump in early... paid and haven't installed yet.....

Same here, i use kontakt on pretty much every project The thing is I uninstalled X3e before installing platinum, I never keep multiple versions.... Maybe I should start to...

Same problem for me with latest Kontakt and Windows 8.1 x64 with latest updates.Im from Italy but my version of windows it's not localized i don't know if it's international or American,i must check.

I can confirm these bug on mine too, so thats two major flaws for me so far this one and melodyne both of which are essential to my workflow

All I've had time for so far is to open a few existing X3 projects (with several instances of Kontakt) and open a couple of new instances but it doesn't generate any errors. (on Windows 7 sp1, 64 bit, English)

I think the implication is that it was a known issue with localised versions of windows. I'm certainly on uk version of windows 8.1

So, knowing I could retrograde, I installed SONAR, loaded some projects with TONS of KONTAKT instruments and all is well.... so, there is some problems reported but not here in North Carolina.
I am running WIN 8 x64 with an APOLLO audio running with Thunderbolt. However, I did have a false alarm scare in that when I started the new version, I launched it via the ICON on my desktop and it could not find my APOLLO interface (yet, SONAR X3e still did). This had me baffled for awhile until I launched SONAR from the command center and all was well....
Just wanted to report that I am no longer scared of the new SONAR.

Please explain wich versions of windows you got (go to the bottom of the eula disclaimer in the licence) otherwise we can't understand how to fix the problem.

Same problem here on Win 8.1, only difference is Platinum, and Kontakt works in X3. Everything is updated.

Same problem here. I'm running Sonar Plantinum on Win 7 Pro 64bit.
and the issue only appears on the 64bit version of Kontakt.
A workaround is to remove the 64bit dll files from the plugin folder, so that Sonar uses the 32bit version. It will then automatically swap the 64bit for the 32bit version in your projects.

Error confirmed with Kontakt 5.4.2245 (x64) and Windows 8.1 PRO x64 (WinBlue_R8_2_ED_PS_R_en-us). with latest patches/updates. Here a snapshot with latest windows updates installed on my OS :

I will give up on this and uninstall platinum and install X3e because I really need a full working sonar, don't have the time to play a tester here really, loading projects with kontakt 5 in it complaining about "parse error" and I have to click 10-20, 30 times per project (depends on the project) on ok button turns me off ( and also I read there was some melodyne issues too in platinum?! ) so I will give platinum a break and wait a few months before I install it again (hoping in the meantime these issues are fixed)...

As I wrote in my earlier reply: if you use the 32bit version of kontakt 5.4 all your projects should open without the parse error. At least this worked for me.
Just remove the 64bit dll (or rename the extension) from your plugin folder on your harddrive and sonar automatically uses the 32bit version in your projects. This way you can uses platinum untill Cake or NI come up with a fix.
