Ah!!! So this was a test. But a test of what? Endurance, longevity or maybe empathy. I'm starting to feel quantumly entangled with this thread so I've have decided that I'm going to stick it out until the bitter end regardless to which multiverse I'm in at the time.
I have empirical evidence this is true... (Bender told me!) Cakewalk by BandLab, Splat and other DAW's PC = Win 10 64 Bit, i7 3770, 16Gb RAM, 256GB Samsung 2.5’ 840 PRO SATA6GB/s SSD 1, and 2 x 2Tb Internal, Monitors = 2 24” Samsung SA450 and 1 20” Dele Edirol = Octa-Capture-UA1010, Quad-Capture-UA55, PCR-500, Berringer 2 x FBC 1010 Alesis Control Pad KRK monitors

I have a brand new 1300 watt platinum Antec PSU sat on a shelf. The first one died within 6 months and I bought a 1000w EVGA Titanium one instead planning on selling the replacement Antec. But then I kept it as a backup PSU. It was originally reduced to £149 with an RRP of £299, I didnt even need 1300w. I could have flipped it for £200+ easy, but then I realized a backup PSU is a glorious thing, even though my current one has a 10 year warranty and is meant to be the best of the best, those things can still go boom. After hard drives, PSUs have been the most likely part to die for me, even with expensive highly rated ones. Everytime I see 'generic PSU 850 Watts, only £29.99' in online stores, I want to go and punch whoever manages that store in the face. Thats how your PC (and maybe even you) ends up dying in a fiery explosion, by buying and daring to use one of those.

Hopefully no one would buy it over a recommendable branded one. Always check reviews, best review site for PSUs is this one: http://www.jonnyguru.com
