Inspiration...
and how to get rid of it...or a trade-in. I finished building the guitar for my friend and Warren asked me if I wanted to do another Beatle tune... so yeah, a new project before I start my next build. Thought I'd show you how my project has been going since it's not worth hearing. You can see at the link to upstairs. My favorite version and it'll kill any recording ambition I have everytime I try to use it. I know it's not my system. I can still use everything else and have not one issue. Sony Vegas Pro 12 runs like a dream and if you don't know...that is one piece of software that will test a system without doubt. Don't think I'm ****in'...Fortunately I believe they'll fix it and I don't make my living using this stuff and I have plenty of hobbies that don't depend on digital trash. Well it inspired me to start another guitar build...X2a has certainly been good for that.

I'm starting to have a love affair with version 8.5. I'm gonna use it for most of the day today.

Well I thought I was contributing to "screen shots" in that thread. I was informed I was a hijacker. I'll probably be spending my time in my shop. It just seems to be a much better way to spend my free time. This is all becoming to much of a bad time or a waste of it.

I was informed I was a hijacker. 'DaveNY5'..as usual showing his tact and diplomacy. Sorry to hear about that Michael, inspiration evaporating due to software problms is very frustrating. I continue on with Sonar 8, XP and just 2GB of RAM, and can run many more tracks than the OP on that thread is showing, despite the 'advice' he's being given.

I enjoy listening to your works very much. Maybe dropping back and punting would be a good thing. Maybe it's half-time break. Really to pissed about it all to make a decision other than getting away from it....let it rest.

Beagle I have no idea what happened... I thought it was a thread about "bad" screenshots from X2a so I posted a couple from the "auto bug report" the X2a generates. I guess it wasn't about "bad" screenshots. No damage done. I removed them and apologized. To sum it up....I went upstairs, got insulted and left- taking my offerings with me.

Starise I would liked to have seen the screen shot. LOL ! that's what I was thinking when I posted. I posted two. One that tells ya that it's gathered the bug info so they can check it out and the other telling you that you're screwed, Windows is screwed, anything that wasn't saved is screwed and tuff....it's shutting you down. LOL.

I'm in the midst of it right now with some kid upstairs who's mommy and daddy told him he was Omnipotent. I don't mind batting around with them until it starts to get out of hand. Then I usually say one last thing and leave it alone. Usually. I love pointing something out to them that they can't defend or deny and then watch as they have a melt down. I should probably get a hobby or something rather than go troll hunting on the Sonar forums. As for your problem Spacey ... sorry to hear it. X1 was a horrid nightmare for me. X2 seems to be working really well, although I did have one little scare last night. I had to click the on/off button on an amp sim in TH2 about 50 times to get it to turn on. But honestly, that's the first hiccup I've had with X2 ... on the same exact system that X1 brought to a grinding halt. Yet, they always say it's the computer, it can't be Sonar. It's really enough to make ya say ***k it after a while and get one of those little 4 track digital recorders and dig out our old stomp boxes. A buddy of mine has an 8 track one with built in CD burner. He's never touched it, he bought it to use and lost interest. I've been trying to get him to send it to me to 'keep it safe' but he won't. Heh. He's extremely unstable. If he would ever get in to this DAW stuff, I could see him taking his PC outside and shooting it. He's done it to other things he's owned. He poured lighter fluid on a Gibson Flying V one time and torched it because it sounded and played like crap. Good luck! OH! By the way ... I took some of your advice you gave in another thread and I'm SOOOO glad I did. They poured concrete in our building and I put in a sweep to run electrical so I wouldn't have to cut a hole in the side of the building. It all came out really nice. I'll have to take some updated pics and post. Thanks.

I sure don't understand X2a Bub. Out of almost two decades of using Cakes programs this is the weirdest I've tried to work with. For instance.....changing the height of a track cratered it. It froze, whiped all drawn wav forms, fired up the bug report that it sends and then cratered Windows and shutdown the PC. LOL....asked what I was doing when it happened...so I told it, "changing track height"......what a shame. Hope the bakers don't attack me for answering it...hijacking a bug report! Sure glad that slab/building worked out for you. Look forward to seeing the pics.
