Ben, I think that's the best post you've made here. The Bouy will tell you that once I get talking I don't shut up (unless you shove food in my mouth), this is because of 'fast thinking' as well. I have to re-read my posts to fill in the missing words I skipped over because my fingers are five minutes behind my thoughts. It would be relatively easy to release a compilation album of "tunes from the songs forum", the hard part would be choosing which tracks to include from the hundreds of worthy candidates, and then there's the arguments an tantrums from those who didn't make the cut.... What channel is "The drunken chef" on?

###Breaking News### SAN FRANCISCO MAN BECOMES FIRST AMERICAN TO GRASP SIGNIFICANCE OF IRONY Jay Fullmer, 38, yesterday became the first American to get to grips with the concept of irony. "It was weird," Fullmer said. "I was in London and, like, talking to this guy and it was raining and he pulled a face and said, "Great weather, eh?" and I thought "Wait a minute, no way is it great weather." Fullmer then realised that the other man's 'mistake' was in fact deliberate. Fullmer, who is 39 next month and married with two children, aged 8 and 3, plans to use irony himself in future. "I'm, like, using it all the time," he said. "Last weekend I was grilling steaks and I burned them to a crisp and I said "Hey, great weather!".

Oh someone tried to 'make a list' of the most talented people in the songs forum a few years back. There many upset people over that concept..... And, Bill did not get an honorable mention.

BenMMusTech Now back to the song forum, I made this thread because there is enough good material to make some sort of compilation to actually market and sell and this includes bubs track. Philps is really excellent even though he sneaks his christan ethos in there as well. There is some excellent country stuff and some of classical that is up there is amazing, don't worry daryl, I will get to yours. I was just thinking that perhaps instead of fighting we find away to market and sell of the product that comes up on the songs forum. I know of a couple of ways, it would also be good publicty for The Cake as well. So opinions on this would be good!! Neb I've seen it done at 'The Other Place' (the CH spin off forum Randy mentioned recently). They've done 3 compilations now I think, under the banner of 'The Exile Collection'. People were asked to submit tunes for the project, rather than someone choosing existing ones, then a designated mastering house pulls it all together, and the costs split between the submittees (?) Something to think about maybe.

Karyn Ben, I think that's the best post you've made here. Well Karyn it seems that you and I and Tony are taking this idea seriously, Bub want's to vote me off the island, hmm sounds like lord of the flies and we all know what happened to Piggy!!!! To make this work we would need more support but in answer to some of your questions: Firstly this would have to be a democratic process, those that wanted songs put on this compilation would put forth their track and we would vote as a community on the best 10 to 12. To distribute the best way would be to set up an Orchid account, they handle digital distribution including all the major selling points, like I-Tunes and to some of the subscriber services, this I would be willing to donate it's about a $150 bucks to set up and some nominal fee to distribute thereafter. But once again this is a democratic process and whoever ended up on the compilation would decide this ultimately. Then there is mastering, there are a number of people who could do this, it's up to them to offer and this would be a volunteers gig, I myself could do it but again it has to be decided by the whole. Finally as for The Drunk Chef, I've had a X1 meltdown, so I'm in the middle of a system reset and because my X1 download is corrupt, I have some free time to edit the first episode today and will upload it youtube in the coming days. So if any of you would like to see this happen I need a little more support than 3 and yes I will count you out Bub, even though you were one of the people I was hoping to help. But you want to vote me off the island, read what Lord of The Flies and tell me if you still want to vote me off the island. Neb

I was purposely vague in that thread because I knew nobody really wants anyone here to leave, but I think do all want the heaviness to stop. That was the whole point of the thread. Ben, you'll know when I'm addressing you. See post #43 above.

alexoosthoek I don't happen to aggree with Bub's thread Ben, but he did not mention you. Well, it's the tone of his debate in this thread that I feel his lets vote people off the island is directed towards me. Look I can handle his comments, I'm feeling much better, half my problem is diet, I've fixed the diet, my equilibrium is back and I'm slowy going in the right direction, yes there are many boring moments whilst waiting to buy big ticket items, whilst waiting for hopefully entry into my Fine Arts degree, but I'm feeling good. You see even 3 weeks ago my body was out of kilter, I didn't have all my cooking stuff so I was eating really crap food (I have all my bits and peice's now including my desk), I've also recently discoverd breakfast, what a revelation breakfast is. Even if it's just two boiled eggs and juice, I feel much better and of course coffee. So even though I'm still a bull in a china shop, I've already seen off JohnMrT and his negative invection and if Bub wants to provoke me I will do the same, ignore except a few witty lines here and there. I was really trying to help bub and others because I am truly amazed at the quality of music coming from the song forum and I am trying to find a way through this new digital world. In the old days record companies would be lapping at some of these peoples door, now it's up to us who understand the digital maze (just) to set up our own networks and this forum is just one big talent machine. But it's up to those people to want to help themselves, I've got lot of things on the boil at the moment including getting my machine back on line and editing The Drunk Chef, if you can't laugh at yourself, you can't laugh at others, hmm something wise just came out of my ass!! (Daryal and I am sorry I still have not got around to listening to your tune). So I am going to read the paper, drink my coffee, try and get to pg 18 of Paul Frindle's digital myths, reset the computer (if I can download pt 1 of X1 and edit The Drunk Chef) Neb

Apparently, Didier Drogba was interviewed on The Graham Norton Show on Friday. I hope so, considering what the FA Cup Final commentator Clive Tyldesley let slip about Drogba in his preamble: " Graham Norton seemed to get inside him last night" Could I get any more puerile But somehow it wouldn't have been remotely amusing if he'd been interviewed by Parky.
