    11. An oft quoted, but totally untrue, urban legend perpetuates the idea that "I'll have a 'P' please" Bob Holness played saxamaphone on Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street. In fact, he played the rhythm guitar.

    12. Michael Jackson had a big pwoblem with rolling his 'R's. He visited a doctor to seek help for the affliction. Unfortunately, this very pwoblem lead to one of the most incredible bungles in medical history. Apparently, berfore going under the anaesthetic for a routine tongue-straightening operation, he called the surgeon over and made him promise to make him all 'right'.

    14. Madonna is utterly despised in England. In fact, effigies of her bloated body are set alight at Stonehenge on the eve of the summer solstace each year. This ritual hatred has been ingrained in the collective English pysche ever since the 'Hand of God" goal she put past Peter Shilton in the 1986 World Cup quarter-final.

    Speaking of Eminem....

    16. Van Halen's standard concert contract called for them to be provided with a bowl of M&Ms backstage, but with provision that all the brown candies must be removed. The presence of even a single brown M&M in that bowl, was sufficient legal cause for Van Halen to peremptorily cancel a scheduled appearance without advance notice. The legendary "no brown M&Ms" contract clause was indeed real, but the purported motivation for it was not. The M&Ms provision was included in Van Halen's contracts not as an act of caprice, but because it served a practical purpose: to provide an easy way of determining whether the technical specifications of the contract had been thoroughly read (and complied with).

16ish. Long-time Judas Priest members Glenn Tipton, Ken 'KK' Downing and Ian Hill all publicly stated their collective shock and surprise on hearing the news that singer Rob Halford was gay. In an official press release, they said "We thought Rob liked wearing make-up, wore tight leather trousers, carried an S&M style riding crop and african bull-whip, sported short cropped hair, generally minced around on stage and took to wearing a lathed-owl-skin cod-piece because he was a bit of a bell-end".

    17. (if James hasn't beaten me to it ) Steve Priest, bass player of glam-rock heroes The Sweet often minced around on stage, wore tight fitting leather trousers, wore a lot of make-up and wore an Elton John branded "Get it here Boys" cod-piece was in fact straight. He was famously voted Cleethorpes and District Ferret-Felching and Owl-Lathing Social Club 'Gurner of the Year' seven years running.

In 1972 Leslie Harvey of Stone the Crows died after being electrocuted onstage in England.

In 1976 Keith Relf, who used to play for The Yardbirds, was electrocuted by his guitar while playing in his basement.

During a mid-performance in 1994 Ramon Barrero, a Mexican musician famous for playing the world's smallest harmonica, inhaled the harmonica and choked to death.

    Fun times...
