well i guess if you really take all this stuff seriously...i mean, yeah, no need to wish ill on others, but most people's skins are pretty thick...and sure, commenting is in itself adding fuel to the flame...hence why i don't join in upstairs very much!

Hi everyone,

I saw one of mgh's comments and I want to respond by saying.

"Yes".

I fully admit that I am sometimes purposefully antagonistic.

However, Please consider that I'm not asking for a Mcsizzzle pity party.

I am simply asking people to consider making a comment to the moderators about the type of outburst I mentioned in the O.P.

If you don't mind outbursts like that, or if you don't want to get involved for any number of reasons then that's all there is to it. There's no argument from me on that... it has to be a personal choice.

I also want to explain that I do not personally feel like the Moderators have been unfair to me in any way. I feel the the moderators have been very generous in allowing me to attempt to voice my opinions. I hope that I haven't frustrated anyone so much that they no longer understand that I admire their professionalism with regards to how hard they work to represent Cakewalk's PR day in and day out.

I think Cakewalk has expressed some tolerance to my antics and I appreciate the opportunity it has allowed.

I try to play fair so as not to abuse the thin thread of trust that may still exist.

However, I do think that, all things considered, that any report I make about insults will be given far less consideration than if someone else, who has friendlier relations with Cakewalk, voices a similar opinion.

I am hoping forum members might share my idea that we can all disagree with out insulting each other so purposefully and that some members may take occasion to file reports when they see such actions.

There is of course, on the occasions I pass your threshold of tolerance, always the option to report me as well.

Anyways, thanks for being a good group of people.

best regards,
mike

Mike, please don't take this wrong, but I feel I should point out that if you admit that you may have flirted with crossing over the line of ideal behavior, then your complaints about someone else crossing that line may carry less weight with the powers that be than someone else's.

That isn't to say the person in question didn't just flirt with crossing the line, but perhaps went way over it.

You know I have to agree with you there...

I wonder what my brain was doing when it should have been reading your thread?

Both of you (Mike & John T) take it to childish levels in getting your points across. Mike, you cleverly instigate and incite whereas as John T is more direct. Everyone knows your negative feelings towards X1 and everyone knows John T is an arrogant fanboi. Knowing this, one of you (if not both) needs to step up & be the bigger man in avoiding these frivolous arguments. No need to take things to extreme lengths just to prove a point. Agree to disagree and move on to something positive.  The forums should be used in a better manner than this and this type of behaviour just ruins it for those whom are truly looking to get help.

I can only temper my own comments, not the responses to them.

Also I see little need to train a pig, one merely has to acknowledge to ones ownself that one day it will likely be BECAN!

I was very proud of you ol pal. I knew you could do it.

I'm not fussy about where people post stuff. And you know what?, I had to solve that same problem a few months back. I had the BOOST limiter on a buss and if you turned off the plug, there would be no output from that bus. No sound, but meter activity everywhere. I wish there were send and return meters in the console view.

as soon as I saw your solution I knew you were on target. I feel a feature request comin' on.

Regards, John
