@blades
I understand, you had a frustrating and saddened experience. But I didn't have any of your Problems and your statements are highly personal and subjectiv to me. At least not replicable.
Maybe you just wanted to talk about, but after all, you are emotional and a bit dramatic.
And - No, there is no value in it, at least not for me, sorry. I make experiences on my own, and they are quite different. That's why I say, stop complaining, go ahead, be happy with S1, whatever. It's software, no religion.

If I DO continue to use CBB, it will likely because of this forum.

Well, I don't use software because of a forum, that's a bit weird to me, sorry. I use software for the things I can do with it. Maybe that's the difference - I'm not a club member and I'll never want to be. I guess, for you this forum is kind of homeland, it's an emotional thing.

"I find my software and its use an integral part of the recording experience."

Me too, that's why I say, don't waiste  time with software that doesn't fit.

Another thought: There are always people who like to compare one DAW with another. I doubt, that this will be a valuable help for development. I think, Bakers know the market and other products, but finally they have their own plans. In fact, other products copy Cakewalk . . . . .

For Feature Requests we will hopefully have an own section in the new forum.

HTH
Happy holidays

Apologises to riojazz but some of this is wandered off topic and some is a little personal so I will 🔒 this thread.

Is this the right place to be going forward, and is it supported by the company?  Thanks.
