Just got this mail - "SONAR X2 Producer customer satisfaction survey - New Tech Tips"

Take the time and do it!
It's the best chance we've had for a long time to tell CW what we want!

Just thought I'd post it here to make sure people that don't check their mail very often get notified. :)

Could someone who does receive their emails copy and paste it to this thread please?

Yes thanks for making the survey public, I guess it does not matter that Cakewalk sent it to you and did not put the link on this site themselves. Above is just one example of someone that does not own the product thanking you too.

Yep have to agree with scook. I don't believe it was meant for the general public by the questions it asked.

And when he's asked also ask why not everybody that has a registered purchase received it.

Good for you. What does that have to do with this? What does Brandon have to do with it? He does not work for Cakewalk. You might have been a Cakewalk customer but the survey is not about that is it? You would not know because you did not get the email did you?

Maybe you will confirm my explaination of why every registered user of X2 Producer didn't receive the survey.
If the "store account" email address that can't be updated isn't the reason then what is?

I'm an X2 Producer user and didn't get the survey email...

I'm definitely in the "don't get emails from Cakewalk" camp.

Yes, in the comments section I opined that this was short sighted of Cakewalk to source it's feed back from a small data set and I suggested that Cakewalk endeavor to locate some of the people who have declined to purchase its latest offering to see why that is.

I hope, perhaps, that someone reading the survey comments will choose not to ignore that sort of suggestion the way it is ignored here at the forum.

I'm looking forward to an improved SONAR in the near future.

all the very best,
mike

Any other company would be happy if their customers wanted to fill the survey and publish the link. Anyway, if it was meant only for Producer owner,  does it means that I am the second quality costumer? What if am I potential Producer owner?

Glad to see a survey for X2 users. Sad to see NO reference to 700 hardware...guess they really have dropped the once great hardware controller after all?

So we should ask people who don't own SONAR X2, how their experience with SONAR X2 has been. Yep, that makes a lot of sense. Small data sample? Who told you that? The amount of misinformation you spread is alarming. And instead I should solicit a few of the people who declined to purchase? And base decisions about X2 on that? And of course that's not a small data set there.

Any other company would also be happy to be allowed to run their own business as they see fit. What you choose to read into their actions is your decision. You chose not to purchase X2 Producer, how could you possibly participate in an X2 Producer Satisfaction Survey?

Of course you are not second quality. But please understand that the survey is for people who own it and relates to specific experiences of owners.

It's just a survey people! Not a popularity contest! If you weren't included doesn't mean anything!

Re: Just got this mail - "SONAR X2 Producer customer satisfaction survey - New Tech Tips" 2013/06/07 09:33:32 (permalink)
I think it is reasonable of a company to ask people who own a product to give feedback on it.

If they want general feedback they can use a focus group.

Whether or not you own everything else the company makes is immaterial.  Surely even you can see that through your bitter-tinted glasses, mcq.

How can a troll like Mcq answer how he is finding aspects of X2 Producer, when he doesn't even own it?

@ekral - it does not make you a second quality customer - it surely just means you have to own X2 producer to comment on how it is working for you.  Perhaps there will be other surveys for studio and essential users, or potential users in the future.

That's where you are wrong.
I don't receive any mailings from Cake and haven't in many years and I'd like to know why.
Andrew was kind enough to offer his help in finding out why some registered users of X2 Producer like myself didn't receive the survey.

I have filled the survey and just marked N/A the features that I do not have. But it would be great to send the simplified survey simultaneously to all Sonar X2 owners.

We need to think before we act. If a person did not get an email from CW it is not our right to second guess why and put it out for anyone.

Those asking to circumvent what CW wanted to do may just have screwed the whole thing.

The least the member could have done is ask CW if it was OK to pass it on.

Keeripes. Maybe they are trying to figure out what areas of X2 need the most attention in regards to the next patch. In that case as someone who actually owns and likes X2 I wouldn't want rabble rousers, malcontents and trolls skewing the results. Not specifically calling anyone here those things but the internet is full of that type and if the survey was made public they could sabotage the efforts being made by the bakers.

Seriously, calm down. There is the feature request and problem reporter avenues to air your grievances and make suggestions. We paid for X2 therefore our input is more insightful and relevant. Want to fill out the survey? Buy the product.

@ekral - But you have given feedback on your experience of using a program that you neither use or own - don't you think that's odd?
