Komplete Kontrol S88 and their macros in Sonar/Cakewalk

Hi, when I run my S88 and KK software in stand along mode, the macros and pages are available on the keyboard. They also work okay in Samplitude Pro X3. However, in Sonar and Cakewalk, they are not available. For example, using Signal, I'd like to lay down some some chords or riff and either on the fly or coming back, manipulate and record some macro variations. At the moment, I have to automate manually by adding the value under the recorded sound.

Transport and midi keys are active but it's weird that I can't use the knobs for macro manipulation. Anyone have the same issue and/or fix? I'm waiting upon NI to get back but I thought I'd also try here as well. Thanks.

I think you are referring to the continuous controller, yes?

In order to have those function in Sonar, you must configure Sonar top recognize the controllers (knobs) as a control surface. The S88 uses 3 interfaces to communicate with your DAW. FWIW, I never could get this to work correctly in Sonar until I started using AzCtrl.

    Hi Dan,
I use the VS-100 surface controller if that's what you mean by 'active controller'. It allows for transport controls. However, the knobs on the S88 - in the middle - and its page manipulation are not available. In stand-alone, these knobs allow for macro manipulation on a vst like Signal and allows you to search for specific sound variations. As mentioned, Samplitude Pro X3 configures the S88 correctly but I have yet to learn enough about it to record live manipulations. I gave up on figuring this out in Sonar a while back and AzCtrl is too complicated for me to figure out.  It's a bit frustrating that Samplitude can do this whilst Sonar/Cakewalk are still unable to do this automatically.

    Thanks

Do you have KK Vst info om the small screens on the keyboard? And do their knobs that correspond to å knob in the Vst work? If not this is a knows issue a lot of users have.
