Morale of the story -- don't assume too much ; determine by testing your memory.   If something like Memtest finds a problem it will report it clearly to you.  It's easy to use.

Sorry but I have to interject and say this is not always true. A month or so back I was having crashes galore, I couldn't even open Sonar at times. I ran every single diagnostic tool known to man--including Memtest-- and NONE of them pointed to any problem. After simply removing two of my four memory sticks my system is back to normal (knock on wood).

Morale of the story--don't always trust diagnostic tools.
