Problem Solved!!

The culprit.... X Ray windows.....yep... I never used it before and don't remember enabling it, but when I checked on a hunch it was...

So I unchecked it and all is well... Thanks for all your input... 

That's strange in a way - I use X-Ray a LOT, and even just tonight with Kontakt4 with 8 outs, multipart orchestral setup, and a lot of other big synths (Independence 3, Maschine, etc).

This somewhat suggest you might have a video driver problem or IRQ issue, or some other Video related issue.

Works fine here. Even worked fine before the 1a update, I also have SSD among many otrhers, Scarbee basses2 or 3, abbey road drums, etc.
Hmm-never use xray. Now I won't for sure

I would just add that X-Ray can be very handy  at least for me.   I've never had a single problem with any plugin using it.

But I'm not in X1 either ;)  If there's a problem, it's new I guess.

BA midi: Your right about the card its a nvidia card, and i dont like it at all, in my nextupgrade i plan on goin with an  ATI or even an ASUS card, in my opinion and from experiencei think they arebetterfor audio... nvidias are great for games and Ed imiging but not for audio, the only reason im still using  it over the olderATI card i have is cause its the only one i have with dual DVI at the moment, but this will be replaced soon...

BA midi: Your right about the card its a nvidia card, and i dont like it at all, in my nextupgrade i plan on goin with an  ATI or even an ASUS card, in my opinion and from experiencei think they arebetterfor audio... nvidias are great for games and Ed imiging but not for audio, the only reason im still using  it over the olderATI card i have is cause its the only one i have with dual DVI at the moment, but this will be replaced soon...

NVidia is a major player, but it depends on the model/specs of the card.   I wouldn't discount it, but many use NVidia cards.
 
What is your exact model and how much RAM does it have, and is it PCIe?

it is a slightly older card, i cant look at now, im away from the studio, but i think it is a pcie, 8600 gt 512, i looked on the nvidia forum and lots of post about audio problems.... with other cards too...
