Awesome! Nice wall of guitars type of feeling! And as said by others, outstanding vocal performance! Also, love the sound of the solo guitar (and the solo itself!).

bapu Too short.
Thanks Bapu! Glad you liked it. You're right, it does need to be longer. It was one of those things where it just started as a rough draft, then I polished some of the rough edges and never finished the song! I was originally planning on having another verse/chorus after the solo. I might finish it one of these days...but you never know. Thanks for checking it out Bapu!

Like I posted on another thread, I tend to avoid the Songs forum while writing. Getting near the end of that so I feel comfortable listening to other's work. Regards, Dan

Hi Leadfoot (not your real name, I'm assuming? Just a handle given to you by your local cop, right? ;-) ) Thank you SO much for making your comments on our song, ReImagine. Much appreciate that! So I'm listening to your piece 'LIGHT' and loving the brightness on the guitar that opens the piece. Great playing. Okay - now we go to rock-mode. WHOA! Nice bite. Those rhythm guitars are right in your ear's face. Nice separation there. I know you're Christian, but man - you're like the Jesus Rock answer to Ozzy O. No kidding! Oops - notice some clipping there just before the fade. Digital over? Soundcloud messed up? Nice solo playing and tone on that last guitar. Well done! I will have to give this another listen (for the words - tend to listen to the mix/mastering first). The only thing I did NOT like about that opening guitar was the kind of reverb you had on the beast. I think the reverb sounded 'dusty' or synthetically artifacted. You could always try another verb to see if you get a more natural sound (like what you're shooting for - the sound of the high-school stairwell, sort of thing). Anyhow, I will listen to more of your stuff later. In the meantime, PLEASE avail yourself to my (apparently, 'world renoun') mix how-to document collection. Since posting the documents for free access online YEARS ago, I've had nearly 12,000 downloads of the one called, "Mixing and Frequency 2013". Nuts! Enjoy. app.box.com/shared/qk7bn4o3zc Later, FR

Not having heard any of your music before, I was enjoying the acoustic guitar at the beginning (a little less reverb maybe just to bring out the clarity cause it's so lovely), then I got hit with that rock wall (see what I did there), kind of took me by surprise a bit cause the description on SoundCloud says Christian Rock, I just didn't realise how big that rock would be. Loved the lead at the end, I think someone else said it too, it could've gone on longer. Not being a guitarist myself I tend to drool over stuff like that. Nice song, well written.

Thanks rebel! Sorry it took me so long to respond. I haven't been frequenting the forum as much lately, and missed your post. :( I'm glad you liked it, and I agree that it could use a little less reverb on the beginning. Thank you again for listening, and for your nice comments!

i like the energy in this... it feels like it was mastered way too hot, tho....
or, was mixed with the vox hot into a compressor....
the high end is smeared as a result. but excellent tune, great riffing at the end there.... the vox reminds me a bit of the guy that sang lead for Head East the opening reminds me just slightly of the intro to rush's "closer to the heart" guitars sound a bit synthetic to me, maybe it's just the processing.....
but i love the rhythm approach with the picking hand attack.... solo tone was excellent.

Hey bats, thanks for the listen. You are, of course, correct. It was mastered too hot. I said something about it earlier in the thread. It really wasn't mastered at all yet. The song isn't finished. I just threw it up to get some feedback on it. So I definitely appreciate your input. Man, Head East! I haven't heard that name in a while! And you're also right on the intro. I have the verb a little too heavy on it. :) Glad you liked the solo tone. Thanks again for the kind words and helpful feedback!
