No problem Ryan,

I did sent a message to CW support, in fact that's the first thing I did....but not having answer made me complain here.... it's just like there's a curse on me when I'm on the Sonar upgrade process....

Upgrading from v5 to v7 was very problematic.... upgrading from 8.5 to X1 was a real bad horror movie....and now upgrading from X1 to X2, even a couple of weeks after the launch is still an issue for me...

you can understand I'm a bit annoyed....

Cakewalk: Thanks for the nice Christmas present! Since I already have enough sounds to choke an audio interface, I thought I'd use my certificate to get some education so I bought the Rapture and Dim Pro videos and the X2 Mix Clinic. I've only watched a few minutes of each and already learned some new things I didn't know. Have a great New Year!

I got the email, didn't see any code, and didn't figure out the deal until I just saw this thread. Truth be told, I wasn't going to flip out over $20 either way, but I *have* gone ahead and used it, so thank you, one and all, for the thread and the post-Christmas gift!

No email for me either.  I have signed up for emails many times using the same account that I have been ordering software with for the past two decades.  Fortunately I saw this thread and was able to see the coupon by logging in...

Hi Scook & Rabeach, I'll review things on our end to see what might be preventing you both from receiving any Newsletters. I'm assuming your email addresses listed in your forum accounts are the ones you use for Newsletters? Send me a private message if you use a different one.

D you think you could check and see why I am not getting emails again. For a LONG time I didn't get any then a cople of months ago I thought it was fixed, I got one... now I seem to be not getting them again. I'd really like to get the newsletters and offers. I am likely to spend money... you should get my email fixed

I have stopped getting the emails too.  But I do appreciate the freebies that CW is giving us.  I used my credit for the CW Sound Center DSF Steinway Grand Piano.

As long as they keep letting us know of these things via the forum I'm OK with it.  But I know it is quite frustrating to sign up countless times and never get any of the email announcements.  But I'm not gonna complain ;) .

For the folks who PMed me and posted above... can you confirm whether or not you have updated your subscription here? http://www.cakewalk.com/manager.aspx

I haven't noticed anyone say if they have. If you haven't received a promotional email in years, as some of you have mentioned, the form above will most likely resolve it.

Seems comcast is giving us some issues. We are looking into it right now.

Ryan Munnis [Cakewalk
]

Thanks Steve,

Sorry if I came off a bit defensive on my part as well.

Andrew & myself are scheduled to review the process for our Newsletters this week to make sure we're not missing any loose ends. I know we recently DID fix an issue with the Subscription Manager, but it sounds like we may need to revisit each moving part to the system to see if there's anything we may be missing.

Andrew explained your scenario to me a bit more in-depth and it sounds like a bit of a corner case.

I do still think that anyone who hasn't updated their subscription settings within the past 3 months or so could benefit by doing so (if they want to be on the Newsletter that is).

Ryan, I just got my email about the $20 offer

Many thanks to you and Andrew for getting me up and running again

I noticed the Platinum Samples SD 3 packs were on sale and was going to use my $20 promo towards buying one of those packs to see if I like them and possibly buy more. I noticed they were set back to full price when I went to purchase today. I found that a bit strange. I would have at least thought the sale would last until the end of the month. Guess I'll hold off and put that $20 towards something else.

I doubt you'll need a serial for that. Will work anyway. At least my expansion packs has and has the same info.

Personally I think if you do hip hop music Cakewalk should put $20 on.

Tis the season to be jolly....

Seems like a good way to spend the $20.
