Leonard, I think that's terrific
Hi folks, Another track mixed for my record. This one is entitled "Leonard, I think that's terrific" (I'll explain the title for anyone that's curious). It's an indie rock/classic rock track with a nice punk-ish breakdown. Any encouragement, suggestions, critiques always welcome! http://www.reverbnation.com/leemoran?profile_view_source=profile_box Lee

Lee, That was pretty translucent for sure. Very different vibe with a Dylan kind of thing going on. Did know what to think except trippy!! Peace and Blessings, John

With a title like that, I had to listen...... Sounds like it could be good. But, the mastering or mix is way over compressed/limited for my ears.

Hi, I really like the vocal attitude. The mix is really soft. I just listened to this song on the forum: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Wow-Been-a-long-time-m2886508.aspx then I played yours. Check this out. Your overall volume and frequency response compared to it are very limited. Maybe that's what you were going for but I would really like to hear this song and production more full bodied. Rimshot

Damn, I swear I heard this one before...have you posted this one already? In any way, it's a cool song, as pretty much all of your stuff.

Nice vocals, cool song. The mix is really low volume and lacks dynamics and bottom end.

I think that it might be the compression that's bothering me. The whole thing is there but doesn't cut through. I don't do the mixing for the Pugtones but over the years I've discovered that when the music wants to come through but seems "held back" one of the guys brings up compression. So, that's why I said that. As far as the song and the performances I really like them. Bass is too far down but that could just be me. Keep on truckin' on this one, Lee!

Lee, this is one of your better arrangements. When you get past the mixing choices, the song has depth and catchy phrases. The vocals and words are very good on this, therefor, I hope you take into account what has been suggested. This is a good song that can be great.

Hi Lee, I love the vibe of this song. I agree with the other comments. It wouldn't take much to whip the mix into shape though. A very well constructed performance.
