Since there is now at least a loose connection between Gibson ands Tascam, what I would really like to see is a new replacement for the Tascam FW-1884 with full control surface integration with Sonar.
It would fill the VS-700 niche (and replace my aging FW-1884).

Here's my prediction: The June 1st announcement is going to be that they are consolidating all the various flavors of SONAR into one. No more Platinum or Professional. All future premium features we would have enjoyed in the past as Platinum/Producer users will now be available ala carte. So in effect, what we are receiving with the lifetime subscription is SONAR Artist 4 foreva on top of the Producer features we already own. That's not a criticism as it's still a pretty amazing deal and much appreciated.

that's... an interesting notion...

indeed, i suspect that dan's the winner - check out the steam store pages: professional and platinum editions are delivered as DLC for the steam edition http://store.steampowered.com/app/443205/

Actually, I was thinking just the opposite. There will be a Sonar Lite version targeted at educational market possibly tied to another product ( maybe some hardware).

I actually made that prediction in one of these many threads (almost immediately, well within 24 hours of the announcement of the announcements).

I've always trusted Cake and will continue to do so. I'd already renewed my annual sub earlier this year
so for me, lifetime updates is a no brainer....about the same cost as renewing for an extra year, which I was planning on doing anyways.
I feel 100% positive that no matter what, it will be a fair deal and will include long term benefits and goodies for those who subscribed.

Sonar Platinum, Gigabyte H87-HD3, Intel 4770k, 16Mb Ram, Win 10 Pro, RME Babyface Pro, Roland A-Pro 800, Presonus Studio Channel, Kemper Profiling Amp, Strat/Tele/LesPaul/Taylor 214ce/Dean Cadillac/P-Bass

funny, i never got the email. nor do i get other emails from cakewalk, even though i've signed up frequently and been a user since DOS.

You should be all set now. You were unsubscribed.

I don't seem to be getting any emails from Cake either :-S. Any chance you'd be able carry out  some account wizardry on mine too please?

Happy to be emailed a too-good-to-turn-down upgrade offer.
