Nice job John. The distortion Walt mentioned isn't readily apparent on my ear phones here.I'll try to listen on my good system later.

Starise, Thanks for listening and for your comment they are much appreciated. I have gone into this one last time and mixed everything that I could and raised the volume on a couple of notes in the areas that Walt was talking about and extended a part at 3:20 - 3:35 and hope this makes it a bit nicer to listen to for those who suggested of hearing a bit more in that area. I am finished with this piece and so I hope you enjoy this on your good system. Thanks again though for pointing out the distortion in the areas Walt was suggesting was a warble problem, which I did not find. There was however a volume issue on the lower track that made it sound like a warble, but I believe I have fixed this sound issue.

James, Sorry, I almost missed your post. I have  fixed any issues that I am going to deal with on this song and extended a part a bite where suggested. I appreciate your listening and your comments, as always, and thanks for your thoughts, they are always appreciated. I have spent way more  time on this than ever anticipated, and hope this final round of editing will be good for all. You can only do so much to loops and samples before you mess them up all together. Hope all is well with you and thanks again.

Cool song.  Lots to listen to.  Not to rain on the parade, but that warbling thing is definitely there.  The rest however is very cool.  Love the acoustic guitar bits.

seven450, Thanks for listening and for your comments, they are much appreciated. Well, I guess I don't know one warble from another warble, nor use of distortion or fade in and fade out. Maybe I'm not even good at lining this up either. What I do know is that I am done working on this piece, warble or no warble, it is done. I do this for fun and to get a message out with the piece I am creating. I don't even expect people to get what my messages are saying, but I do it anyway. I have tried to correct what I know to do and it sounds good to my ears and others as well. I'm not a professional nor have I ever claimed to be one. I do pretty good at trying to put together some interesting and complex pieces of work and enjoy that part of it, and that is it, just a good time making it happen. The best part is I give it all away free, at no charge, and I'm looking for no reward for myself. I just give glory to the Lord and hope a seed gets planted, it's a simple non-complex effort. I'm glad you enjoyed this piece, except for a warble or two and even I like the acoustic guitar sounds I was able to incorporated into the mix, they do sound pretty cool. Wish I could make my acoustic guitars sound that good.

Peace and Blessings, John

Critiques aside, this is a creative and challenging piece of music.  The transitions are sometimes unexpected, but I find this to be a good thing.  After having listened to King Crimson and Yes for years, my ears are ready for anything.  Don't even mention Frank Zappa.  John, I think that you are on the cutting edge of music at times, but that can be a hazard in its own right.  No matter, I always look forward to hearing your creations.

All the best,
Lynn

This is very cool John. I never know what to expect out of you. It's like watching Bob Ross paint. You think you know where he's going with his painting and then out of nowhere he just puts a big streak on the canvas that seems out of place at first. But then, after a bit, he ties it all together and it all makes perfect sense. That's how your work affects me sometimes. It's like you're painting with sound and my mind is the canvas. Nice job on this John!

Lynn, Thanks for listening my friend and for your comments, you know they are always appreciated. Yes, critique aside, it was a challenging piece to arrange and to tell you the truth, I don't know where I am with music half the time either. Cutting edge or not, it's always fun, no matter what I'm doing with music, whether playing my guitars or playing loops and samples, it's always about what's in my minds eye and heart and just letting go and enjoying it all for what it is. I'm glad you find my pieces interesting and appreciate taking the time to listen. Glad you enjoy what I do and find it interesting.

Peace and Blessings, John

Beautiful piano at .55s but my favorite part of the piece is the sound of the guitars around 3.11.Its a 12 string guitar ?? The bottom end is full and round - beautiful sound :)
Well done and thanks for sharing,
Kev

Leadfoot, Thanks for listening and for the cool comment, much appreciated. It's funny you mentioned Bob Ross, as I have been doing many paintings all of my life and have many of his books and watch him on tv almost everyday. He had a good technique and I learned a few things from his style. But as to my music, the music is the paint and your mind being the canvas would be a very good way to look at what I do. Very interesting for you to bring this all up. I like it and thanks. Glad you enjoy what I do and glad you don't mind being the canvas.

kev,  Thanks for listening and for your comments, they are always appreciated. Glad you enjoyed this piece. Not a 12 string, sorry. Just a 6 sting with a good preset sound.

Was this written to accompany a video? There are so many ideas (enough for several songs) and transitions that don't make musical sense; or one could say you defy conventional expectations at every turn. It's definitely a pastiche.

Cheers,
J

J, Yes, made to accompany a video. I never make musical sense, and my wife says I never make any sense at all. Yes, I always try to defy conventional expectations at every turn, and then some. No, it not a pastiche, but rather a pasticcio.
Thanks for listening and for your comments, they are always appreciated.

You certainly are putting out a lot of great stuff recently John.  I love the wonderful "big" sound of this one.  I am not hearing the concerns that are mentioned in some of the comments above.  I guess that is where my ignorance of technical stuff and a crummy sound system is bliss.  It lets me enjoy this super sounding song.

Freddy, Thanks for listening and for your comments, they are always appreciated. As for the mishaps others were talking about, I think in the final mix, I got them corrected. Glad you enjoyed this piece.
