Almost all of the old police boxes I've seen have been re-purposed, quite a few are now coffee stalls.
Around Scotland, quite a few old red telephone boxes are now been re-purposed as housings for defibrillators, which is a fantastic idea - especially in rural areas where an ambulance may be at least 1/2 hour away. There's an ongoing campaign to get as many converted over as possible. Much better than it's old use (i.e. public toilet and/or place for call girls to stick their "business" cards).

In a village near where my mum lives, a defibrillator was being installed at a funeral director's premises. The headline in the local paper was:
"Life-saving equipment top be installed at Undertakers"
All a bit late one would have thought.
