vocals, yep, i try to make those the most important element, though i'm not that good of a singer, i ususally have to make MANY passes before i get keeper tracks....
funny, the music i can usually knock out in one long session once i get drums programmed or recorded....
but vox, usually happens over several sessions.

those drums are very fun to work with...
and to play with..
granted, he was playing along with my demo, which was done with a machine, playing a straight beat.....
but he could push and pull within that groove, which is exactly the way i play naturally when i have a 'almost perfect' beat, if it's superior drummer i try to push/pull certain hits all along the way, i edit those drums to be more 'natural'...
but it was easy with these tracks, it really was.
CSN&Y would definitely have to be on my list of influences, i can understand that idea totally.
