really nice Tim!  mix sounds great on cans.  love your vocals in this.  I'm not fond of the "rainstick" or whatever that is.  guitars are very nice - both nicely played and great tone and recording.  well placed in the mix.  drums/percussion (except for the rainstick) are perfect for this.

nice peaceful song. I could see this working well in a movie behind a scene of reflection.

the mix sounds really nice on my cheap speakers. just a slight boom on the bass but that could be the sub on the floor, but nothing too major.... I'd pull the eq down on it just a few db..... but then again only after I would listen on some more accurate speakers.....

listening for second time..... I'm not hearing the rainstick that Beagle mentioned.... and I'm 16 minutes behind him.....

    Good job on the writing....

    Thanks for the comments guys.

Robbay, I don't know what that means. Thanks

Thanks daryl. ya'll come back now.

Hi Night Fox. Thanks. Melting is good. So is a +10.

Hey Eric. Thanks. Glad to hear it tranfers well. Vintage? Geez man, I'm not that old....:)

Thanks Reece. Yea, I was on the fence about the "whatever it is". I like the idea, just not the particular sound I used. Glad you liked the rest.

Hi Herb. Thanks man. A movie would be nice.. Yea, I'm usually pretty conservative with the low lows. Thought I'd try to bring it out a little more this time. You are talking about sub 60hz right?

Thanks Mr. Frank. You da man.....

Cool Lynn. Thanks man. Glad you liked it. Well, Quincy never did return my call..

Geez Tim - this is exceptionally good.  It really pulls you in.  The mix and production great but of course you are on a different level than most of us.  I really like the composition.  The vocals are dry, which I'm sure that's what you were going for.  Everything sounds perfect on this.

I like the full range tonality of the guitar.

I really like the harmonic movement of the song form.

The way you slowly build the layered arrangement seem so restrained and confident... that's impressive.

The vocal harmonies sound real nice.

    Thanks for sharing!

Love the structure of this song.  Excellent instrument choices really fills the mix, sounds wonderful.  Recording has a real air/space to it, perfect for this piece. A new favorite of mine from the performance to the production. KUDOS Tim!

This is great Tim. Love it ! I'm kinda with Beagle of the "whatever it is", assuming we're talking about the same whatever it is (comes in at 0:09 and 1:49 ) I thought there was a bit if hiss in there for a minute, but then I realised that it was a deliberate sound. Maybe it just needs backing of a little. Love the ambience of this though. My second favourite of yours (Every time it rains just about hanging on to the top slot still)

Funny how song titles are impossible Not to be duplicated. I was pissed when Sarah McLachlan stole my title, " It's a long way Down"  and put it in her song Ice Cream in 1993, I had recorded my version in 1991. This was in my Tascam 8 track cassette days. Every time I hear it I want to re do just to turn the bloody reverb down on the vocals....

    Thanks Old55.

Hi mike. Thanks. Nice comment. I appreciate it. However, restrained could be considered inept maybe :)

Hey Kev. Thanks man. Glad it's a fav...

Thanks paulo. Yea, Ok. I'm not too worried about the "whatever it is". Mostly cause I'm pretty burned out on the tune. I was just diddling around with everytime it rains.
Trying to get something else underneath in it. Think I'm on to something:)

Wonderfully done! Love the delicate arrangement and how the instruments mesh together. The part I liked the most is the emotive and expressive singing. I also like the lyrics, kind of sad but beautiful.

I like this version as much as the other version.  You could start this song with a tuba, and it would still be incredible.  I listened to the song several times last night for fun, so that's my take on it.  One of your best.
