Got through to ASUS at last. Asus liveupdate and Windows update say everything is current.  Took a deep breath and updated the BIOS too, and that's done.  Big sigh of relief.

Thanks, Vic! Trying to restore my sense of confidence in Sonar.  I've been tearing my hair out trying to get this album out, and thinking about taking the big $$$ plunge on a real computer audio station.  I'll bet that dual quad core you have really screams!

Yes it rarely has an issue. There are a few tweaks I had to do to get it right. I was close to pulling my hair out once too but, the forum here helped tremendously. Unpark your cores of course and there is probably a tweak in the config file necessary. I haven't had to change anything in awhile so I don't remember exactly what I did? CakeAlex should be all over this post! Lol. But seriously, 1 tweak at a time then check to see if that helps or not? Then move on to the next suggestion till you are satisfied.

No need to abandon SONAR, the album we did together on X1 was awesome! You will get it sorted out & I'll pop over to help mix if you want an unbiased ear?

Vic, I always get good reviews on our Iron Diplomat album.  I've been handing those CDs out at client sites, airports, and bars across the country, and people like the music and the production quality.  We did a good job!

I've got all my cores running, everything is full speed.  I'll work through it one component at a time.  I've started changing a lot of the track and bus plugins to Ozone 5, and maybe should start freezing the tracks to lighten up on the CPU load.

Definitely would appreciate your ears on this before it goes out for replication!
