Hi, I require an in depth audio snap lesson. I’m working with multiple drum audio tracks. The youtube video tutorials are not going deep enough.
Here's what I'd like learn:

I've got 12 tracks of drums (stems i.e. kick, snare, hat, overheads., room mics etc..)
We did not track to click (the way I like it! (-:

I'm copying and pasting 4 bars from the 2nd chorus to 1st chorus and the tempos don't match.
I'm avoiding copying the bass and guitars from the 2nd chorus.
I want to know how to create transients for all the stems simultaneously and drag them into time to line up with the existing bass and guitars.  I was able to hold SHIFT and click on transients. but that take way too long.
Also, when I do drag a snare or kick, it doesn't slide/move the adjacent transients.

Thanks,
Yogi

I think I wouldn't bother with using Audiosnap transient markers in this case. I would just copy-paste the 2nd chorus to start at the correct time for the 1st chorus, and then slip-stretch their ends to fit. If you cut out the target range first, you can use snap to Landmarks with Clips checked to get a perfect fit. The stretching will use the Groove Clip stretching alrogithm, but this should be fine for drums. If the tempo for the 1st chorus was higher so you're actually compressing the 2nd chorus to fit, that will give the best result.

If you do want to do it using transient markers, you can lasso all the markers to be stretched, and hold Ctrl will dragging one of them to move them all proportionally. But first you'll have jump through all the hoops to Merge and Lock Markers or Apply Markers across all the tracks so they stay in phase.

Thanks for you help! I'll give slip stretch a try! (-:

I just tried to CNTRL SHIFT the drums and It's only slip stretching one track. How do I stretch multiple tracks at a time?

AS is the BEST fixing up multitrack drums, but it takes some learning and time to get there. Lord Tim has put together an excellent "how to" for tightening multitrack drums. Here's the post and thanks once again to Tim for putting this together.

I don't think you can stretch them all at the same time. You have to do it one at a time. That is why it is important to snap to grip or landmarks so they stretch to the same point.

yes you can stretch multiple tracks at a time. You should do that to keep all the tracks in phase. Just lasso the transient markers across multiple tracks (vertically) and then you can move all of them at the same time. It also helps if you create a selection group for all the tracks, but it's not required.

For example, if you want to move a snare hit on 4:02. Select all the transients vertically across all the drum tracks at the hit that you need to be on 4:02. They will all turn yellow (instead of white) because they are selected. Then take one of the yellow transients and move it. All the selected transients will also move.
