You don't have the Mute Previous Takes option enabled, correct?
Also, are you using Punch Points at all?
correct...and no. NOT using punch points, you do not have the option to select "mute previous takes" either. That option is "greyed out"
But in any case...the mute is NOT selected nor using punch points.
Like posted above, using MIDI, previous takes are heard as the segment of music loops. An analog input is not allowing this kind of monitoring. ONLY hearing what is being played at the moment.
AFTER recording, of course with SOS recording, ALL is able to be heard. But for "building" a loop, of course without hearing previous passes, it becomes more difficult to achieve exactly what you want.
The above description of a "looper" does exactly what I'm describing. I do have a JamMan looper, which allows you to build on successive looped passes, while hearing everything. I guess I'm asking if Sonar has a "looper" so to speak, built in... (yes when using MIDI...NO when using non MIDI sources, it seems).
