Anyone out there who know's how to fix the PCR-800 in Windows 10? I remember reading other having the same issue but couldnt find it here for some reason.
 
I connect the USB cable, the display on the PCR starts counting up from like 0-127 or something and then it dies. The display isnt even lit. Any ideas?

You have to hack the Windows 8.1 driver.  
The procedure has been outlined on here several times.  I have a PCR500 (uses same driver) and got mine to work with the hack.
 
Blades post on the 3rd page of this forum thread outlines what has to be done to get it to work (what I did).

Thanks for the driver hack. PCR-800 now works fine as MIDI Controller in Win 10 and SONAR Platinum. Soft Synths work great, BUT- it will not work as Control Surface. PCR display shows it is sending data but SONAR not seeing it. I've looked at the Control Surface setup and it seems right. Ive  tried both Edirol and generic setup but no go. Anybody else having this problem?
