I contacted Presonus because I had some questions about their product. They wrote back and told me that I should be able to duplicate what I do in Sonar Platinum and they are offering Cakewalk uses a cross grade price of half price...normally $299. So I'm buying it as soon as they give me my coupon. I had to send them proof that I owned Sonar. I still had my receipt from when I purchased it.

A number of the other DAWs have made contact via this forum offering Sonar users special cross-grade pricing.

After having paid out for Sonar lifetime updates, I think some of the cross-grades are too costly so until I get some ROI, I'm sticking with Sonar until it breaks!

...wicked
Somewhere on the forum there's a link to JRR where you can get the S1 upgrade for $127 or so. I jumped on it and got it. I'm excited about some S1 features but it's always a trade when you switch DAWs. Example: S1 does NOT support OMF files. So, film scoring and sound design are just about dead in the water on that platform.

Unless of course they add it at sometime in the future, make a feature request, it's quite possible, the sky is the limit, as apposed to SONAR, it's not going to get anything added, it's not going to add any future support for things, any future hardware/software inovations, new midi standards or any new standards for that matter. SONAR is dead, it's gone as far as it's going to go, what it has now is all it's ever going to have.

wow, thanks for telling us all that. I had no idea..Blah, blah, blah. Why don't you just leave already since all you do is remind everyone how Sonar is dead, etc, etc, etc. We know already. Jeeezzz!

What and miss a good wake? I like a good wake, and this one is particularly humorous, with all the class actions and law suits going down and all the weird and wonderful rescue packages being dreamt up, people sayng SONAR will keep working forever and they are going to use it until the wheels fall off , only to find them saying a day or 2 later they took the Studio One or Cubase crossgrade deal and how good it is, it's hilarious.

I ain't going nowhere until after the dinner is over and the cake has been cut (I know the Cake has already been well and truly sliced . . . but you know what I mean

So . . . uuuummmmmm . . . Nahhhhh
